Tina........If you get your hands on any of Debbie Siebers stretch workouts from Slim in 6 or Slim in 6 Express they are both incredible. They usually only come in the set but I've seen them on many swaps and Amazon.

Tracey........Have you done any step lately? Do you have/do Christi Taylor's step workouts? I just love her stuff, too. They are a little more dancy than Cathe with lots of spins and turns, but her music is so much better in my opinion.

I'm totally worn out! I had a very busy day 9my own fault) and have just gotten done eating dinner at 7:00........lol

I got a great report from Leigh today. She wants me to continue with my cardio and keep my calories at 1,500. She thinks we found the "sweet spot" for me because she saw changes from last week to this week. Yayyyyyyyy!!!

I'm really excited about this because I've totally missed my DVD workouts. I think tomorrow will be some Turbo Jam since I haven't done that in probably over 6 months. My step workout today just slayed me and I only did 1/2 of it (one of the premixes). I'd forgotten how difficult it was because previously I have always done just the step portions. I forgot about all those killer leg blasts! If I never see another lunge or dynamic outer thigh, I would be very happy at this point......lol

Today's workout (Cardio Week) & NEAT:

***Namaste Yoga - Earth Series - 25 mins.
***Cleaned kitchen pulling out stove and refrigerator/mopping floors/etc.
***Cathe Friedrich - Low Max - PreMix Intervals 1-4 - 48mins. @ ~83% of max burning 449 calories

Hi Steph! Glad to hear you and Leigh have found that "sweet spot" for you AND you get to do your DVD's again! I know I miss them when I can't do them for a while!

I've been on a step aerobics kick lately for my cardio, too! Dusted off my StepBlast DVD, as well as my favs from the Cardio Hits DVD! I may have to pull out my LowMax DVD tomorrow...hmmmmmmmm......

If you remember I did post that I tried some of these on last week and I had a few surprises because I could zip up most but would have to lose another 5lbs. or so to wear them in public. Well, I dug really deep and pulled them all out. Guess what??? I found 5 pair that DO fit. RIGHT NOW!!! I'm so thrilled. Mainly because I tried on my shorts in my "shorts that fit" drawer and was surprised that several looked horrible because they were just too big.........thus leading to the trying on of the small ones again. I feel like I just came home from a shopping spree. These were shorts given to me by a much smaller friend and after last summer, I honestly thought I'd be giving them to Good Will.
Congrats on that... I just had the same experience with shorts too. I've had these black short in the back of the drawer for a really long time.. I just tried them on and they are too big!

don't you just love that!

Keep up the progress you are doing great!

I actually DID!!! Last week I was standing there looking at my selection, trying to figure out what I wanted to do and YOU popped into my head - I remembered you saying how much fun it was, so I opened it up and popped in the DVD - That is ONE FUN WORKOUT!!!!
Hmmmm.....now I may have to change my mind and do that routine today instead of LowMax!!!

Oh...........I'm so glad you did! And.........I'm more happy that you liked it. It took me about 3 tries to get it all, but I loved it (I'm not very coordinated...lol). I love the hip hops in the beginning off the side of the step. Now I'll have that song going through my head all day.......lol

I think I'm taking today as a rest day. I've had 5 solid days of calorie burning cardio. So, I'm just going to focus on NEAT (cleaning the livingroom and diningroom hardwood floors) and some yoga and call it a rest day.

That's how I got my mother into the same things I was watching when we bought the house together. I got out (tapes at the time) seasons past of things I enjoyed and had her sit through them until she was interested. To be fair, if she really hated things I wouldn't force her to continue.

My husband seems to have a complete dislike to almost anything I love on TV--Lost, CSI, Without a Trace...the sad thing is that I started watching TV so we'd have something to "do" together! (Although to be fair we manage to agree on some reality shows)

If you like Cathe's kickboxing.......another name to try is Amy Bento! Her Kickbox Extreme will burn a ton of calories. If I do it from beginning to end instead of one of the premixes.......I'll easily burn over 700 calories. Yowza!!! I just got her In the Ring workout and it looks like a toughie!!! I haven't tried it yet, though.

Thanks so much, Pauline.

I've had a really stressful 2 days. I'm currently interviewing for a few different school districts and one of the interviews was yesterday. I really did awesome and have so much to offer them, but they only want to hire on step 1......and probably won't negotiate my 10 years. Our district which is wonderful. But, there are rumors that there is the possibility of consolidating because it is so small. That has me scared so I'm checking out options, elsewhere. It's just a lot to think about. Add a big tiff w/ DH and I just haven't followed much of anything the last 2 days. I'm such an emotional eater.

Add in today and it's completely opposite. It's now 5:00 and I've only consumed about 300 calories. And that's only because I'm drinking a PWO shake after doing some Turbo Jam and I feel weak. I didn't even realize I hadn't eaten because of all that is going through my mind. I guess it will balance out.....but, sheesh.

Today's workout (Cardio Week) & NEAT:

***Turbo Jam - Burn workout - 17mins. @ ~83% of max burning 161 calories

***Turbo Jam - 20 Minute Workout - 20 mins. @ ~87% of max buring 209 calories

***Cathe Friedrich - Stretch Max - 3rd Stretch w/ band - 20mins.

Sorry 'bout the stress and I hope the job stuff works out... Just smack your DH

I eat emotionally too - either too much or not enough... but it's ok. Just keep going, try to balance as best you can and just move on... Hugs...

Hi.

Hang in there.
