Thanks. I'm not sure how to measure success of this though! I don't think I've ever been happy with my body. I've gone from looking like a lollipop to overweight and everywhere in between. And none of them looked good in my eyes. I think I'm going to have to concentrate on the be proud part and go from there.

I would have had a lot more to drink if I wasn't the DD for most of the weekend. It kind of sucked being the only local with a car big enough for more than 1 extra person.

Thanks.
My pics are a starting place...and are considerably better than the ones I took back in Feb, which no one needs to see.

I had kind of a funny/depressing moment Saturday while shoppping. I need new shirts in a big way, especially tank tops. I was having a hard time finding anything that didn't gape in the chest-region, so I started looking at the teen and child sized tank tops. Well, the kids tops fit in the chest best, but some were still too big. The dressing room also happened to be next to the bras for girls. Some of those were too big for me too (some fit). I can't decide if it's because girls are bigger in general, or if I've totally lost my chest. Either way, I'm considering buying kids bras now, because they have pretty hearts and rainbows on them!

Last night I started the 100 pushups. I was on a roll until puppy decided that it was time to play.
Week1, Day1-60s rest between
10
10
8
6
12-I had at least another 5 in me here, but puppy decided this was a good time to crawl under my arm, lick my face, roll over, and wiggle around. It was too cute, but didn't help my pushups. Needless to say, I stopped, laughed a lot, and played with the dog instead. Next time I'll have to find a place away from the dog.

This morning, I ran with pup. Well, walked and trotted a bit. Lungs hurt today. There was a wild fire about 20 miles from my house yesterday. There's still a lot of smoke in the air. Fire's 100% contained though.

Yesterday's food: 86% Compliant: macros: 36/31/33 f/c/p--The granola bar threw me off, but I was too hungry not to eat it, and it was the best option at the office.

Good things for yesterday:
1. It was my last day of rest (except for the pushups) and it felt really good. I decided late last night that I was going to "sleep in" today and get to work a little later than usual. Also felt really good!
2. I made a great salad for dinner. BF had a burrito made of all the same salad fixings. He wanted my salad instead. And my tortilla "chips"--a little bit of olive oil on a whole wheat tortilla, cooked untill crispy, and cut into wedges. Yum!

Today I'm starting NROL Break In. I'm looking forward to it.

LOL 'bout the pup - you should see mine if I try to foam-roll when they're around!

Animals do not make good workout partners. Usually the cats just watch, however, when outside with them all bets are off. I've done reverse crunches where I couldn't bring my legs down, as well as weighted prone cobras. The weight was a cat that decided to jump on my back while I was doing them.

It's a good think they're cute, isn't it?

Good thing indeed! And Suzee is super cute (if not a gangly beast, really funny looking, and spaztic). I deserved the attack; I gave her a bath not too long before and she wasn't happy about it. So, anything I did, she got in the way of. I was surprised I got as much done in the way of pushups before she butted in.

Weighted prone cobras...I like that. There's no way my spaz would sit still long enough.

LOL, Christina! I shop in the girls' section, too. I bought some tights there this winter. First pair of tights that fit right since I was 12...

Pauline. That's too funny. I'm wearing one of my new kid sized shirts today. It fits so good! Ok, I probably look a little silly today wearing a skirt, kid shirt, and bright teal ballet slippers, but I'm comfortable. And everything fits.

I started NROL last night--here's how it went:
Squats: 2 sets 15 @ 85lbs.
Static lunge: 1 set 10 @ 75lbs, 1 set 15 @ 65 lbs. The 75lbs was a little ambitious for sets of 15, but at least I over-estimated myself this time instead of the typical under-estimate.
2pt db row-wide elbow: 2 sets 15 @ 27.5--I'm feeling these today. Pulling the elbow wide makes a huge difference!
Pushups: 2 sets 15-I was at the gym, so there was no puppy-interference!
Swiss Ball Crunch: 2 sets 20. I haven't done these in so long. I felt them this time!

Food yesterday was 100% compliant! Yay! Macros: 32/28/40 f/c/p. Calories were 1601.

Good things for yesterday:
1. Did you notice the 100% food compliance? I feel so good. There's something to be said about eating right. I need to remember this feeling next time the crap calls my name and ask myself if it's really worth it. Sometimes it is...but not always.
2. I thought that we hadn't been consistant with workout out lately. But, as BF and I walked into the gym, the women walked out and commented on how right on cue we were. Apparently she leaves at the same time that we get there every day. She said we were like clock-work. So, maybe we have been getting to the gym more than I realized. I hope so. BF laughed and said that he didn't think anyone ever noticed us. Apparently they do.

Today I'm doing 100 pushups, day 2. Will report on that tomorrow. I think I'll fill Suzee's kong with peanut butter to occupy her while I do them. Hopefully that'll work.

I feel so much better when I eat well, too. I tell myself the same thing: next time you want to eat crap remember how good this feels!

Ah... Good luck on the new goals. The being happy about your body one is really about changing your heart and your head as much as changing your body. For me adding some LBM to my overall physique really helped too.

Wow, it took me until lunch-time to have to ask myself about this. About 5 chips into chips and salsa, I remembered that I wanted to feel good, not like crap, so I stopped eating the crap. Five isn't horrible, and I'll manage to fit it into my macros for the day.

Yes, and the changing of my mind and heart is really what I'm aiming for here. I've put a lot of work myself over the last 2 years. I need to realize that I'm doing myself some serious good and be happy with it! I don't want to go anywhere near back to where I was, and I'm pretty sure that I won't. I'm in this for the long-haul. 141lbs with more LBM vs. 185lbs with considerably less LBM is a huge difference. I need to love it! Otherwise I'm afraid I might slip back up. It's easy to get on that roller-coaster.

I've decided to post my "rewards"--these are two things that I really want, but would never spend the money on. I think it's time I start treating myself.
So, when I make it through September, staying on the challenge, keeping up with my goals, I'm getting this:

When I finish the challenge in December, same rules as the September "reward," I'm getting these jeans:

That's a wonderful goal. I can identify, being stick skinny in high school and gaining those "freshman 15" in college--not muscle, either! I think I'm learning though to be proud of my body even with the imperfections that remain.

Too funny! If it makes you feel any better, I just bought a new bra that was a cup size (and band size) smaller than my other bras. On the other side of that, we were in a dept store last week when I noticed an entire "plus girls" section. Very sad.

NROL workout looks good. Also, you're making me miss my doggies! I loved filling the kong with scrumptious stuff to keep my boxer and lab busy...hope you were able to get pushups done!

The peanut butter filled kong worked like a charm! Pup was occupied and I was able to do my pushups...

Week 1 Day 2:
12
12
10
10
15
I miss-read and did these with 60s rest between instead of 90s. Oops. I think I was too busy worrying about Suzee finishing her kong before I was done.

Can I just say, Holy DOMS! I woke up this morning with my legs on fire! I haven't felt this much in a very long time. Tonight I'm supposed to do another workout. At least I only have to make it through some step-ups. The rest isn't too leg dominant.

Food yesterday: My chart says 100% compliant because my macros/calories were spot-on, but I did have a beer and a peanut butter cup. I guess it counts because I made room for it all. So, I'm claiming 100% compliance with 28/31/35/6-f/c/p/a.

Good things for yesterday:
1. I stole a dinner idea from Karla and bought NY strip, grilled that up with some corn and had a great dinner (added a beer because it just sounded so good!)
2. Pretty much right after we took the food off the grill, it started downpouring. It had been drizzling the entire time we were cooking, which felt nice too. We left all the windows and doors open to let the house cool down. That also felt nice. An added bonus was being able to hear and smell the rain. I love that.

Celeste, I've noticed a lot more plus sized girl clothes as well. And I was shocked that in the training bra section they had 36B. That's not training! That's what I wore at my largest! I'm in a 32A now and sometimes those are too big. I guess I should embrace my small upper-body and dream of the day that my bottom-half matches it!

Plan for the rest of the day: Eat. Workout. Sleep. I guess I should include work in that list too.
I forgot to pack my breakfast, so I'm going to see what's in the office kitchen and hope for the best. The rest of my food is packed though. I don't know how I managed to forget the breakfast. Something must have been telling me enough with the oatmeal and PP.
