Nice progress on your measurements! I wish I had someone to take mine. I am sooo unreliable!
I am sure you are mourning Rafa's loss yesterday He still had a great year though.

I definitely am! And Federer beat the snot out of Murray in the final today which just made it worse. Ugh. Oh well... I'm sure Rafa will win that title at some point... it's just a matter of time.

So I have jumped on this crazy bandwagon that everyone is on with these "Manga" things. I couldn't find hair that looked like my new cut, so I went with long hair like I used to have... close enough right? lol.
Pushups today,... Crawling my way up to week three... Today I started week 2 for the third time, but started at teh hardest level. So next week I will be doing week three... finally!
Five sets:
12
12
9
7
14
Much less shoulder poppage today! Bri told me I was letting my scapula track forward at the top and so I was trying to concentrate on keeping them retracted and it seemed to help... he's one smart cookie.
I'm sore from yesterday though. I wasn't at all sore when I woke up but it's been getting worse throughout the day. Darn DOMS. That means it'll be worse tomorrow. Bah. This will possibly be one of my last weeks on Bri's plan as I ordered Power Training today from Amazon. I'm looking forward to reading it and starting it. Since Jane has had such fun with it and likes the results she's seeing I thought it was worth a shot.

Awesome job so far! You're making great progress. I love seeing all your numbers side-by-side like that. (I'm kinda a number dork, so I love things like that!)

Cute Manga - I couldn't bear to change my avi either
I love Power Training, just because it's so flexible and I can change an exercise that isn't working for me, even right in the middle of a workout... I've gotta reread the part about supersetting, cuz it takes me a solid hour to get through a workout...

Thanks! I had a hard time actually making it look like me, but that's ok. I forgot you were doing power training too. I'm glad I ordered it since I know everything I've heard about it so far has been good. I'm excited to be going more for strength too, since that's really my primary goal. Fat loss really is secondary since there's not a huge amount to lose.
Thanks Amaria, I just noticed your actual name in your sig, what a pretty name!! Glad you like the numbers sheet... gotta love Excel, lol

Bri workout 4C
Patiently waiting for my new Power Training book to come in. In the meantime... still doing the workouts Bri gave me:
A1: Dynamic Lunges:
3x12(e) w/ 20s
A2: Assisted Chin-ups:
1x12 w/ 50lbs assist
2x12 w/ 40lbs assist
B1: DB Incline Bench:
2x12 w/ 20s
1x12 w/ 22.5s
*Some guy was hogging one of the 22.5s to do bicep curls for my first 2 sets and by the third I was like OK enough already and asked to borrow it. I'll up it next time.
B2: DB bent rows:
2x12 w/ 17.5s
1x12 w/ 20s
C: Jack-knives:
2x10 w/ BW and 2 sec holds
1x8 w/ BW just doing pike position
*I have gotten worse at these

Kara, just holler if you have any PT questions! I think you will really like it. Since it's so interchangeable, Brian may have some ideas for you on which exercises for you to choose....or not. I'll be cheering you on!

Good workout Kara! I understand the short person problem. Changing the attachment on the high cable machine can be a workout in itself!

LOL!! When I workout with my trainer we spent half the session switching the stupid gear back and forth to accomodate the short and tall person. That is why we mostly use dbs for our workouts. Less complication!

I sooo did not want to do my pushups tonight! And the last sets showed it.... they were just awful. But I did them. And I am in desperate need of food shopping. Food choices have been more "let's see what I can milk out of my slim pickings" than "what's the best choice". But once I buy food tomorrow I should be ok.
Pushups: Five sets:
16
13
11
11
10... rest for 15 sec... 5 more... UGH!! so rough today!
Absolutely nothing planned this weekend and I am BORED out of my mind...
Hope all is well with everyone else

Did you get your book? I ended up canceling my amazon order and ran out to B&N to get it. I am getting ready to dive in and start reading.

Ugh, today has been pretty much the most boring day ever! There is no one around, I have nothing to do... so what did I do all day? Sat on my butt on the couch and watched a marathon of project runway. And ever since dinner around 6:15, I have had the worst case of boredom-hunger ever! I keep finding something to snack on. I've had a chewy granola bar so far, cereal, and protein pudding (found a recipe on here... wasn't too impressed with how it came out though). And now I keep wanting to go to the kitchen to find something to nibble on, but I know it's just cuz I"m bored. I'm not actually hungry. Oye.
