Agreed! Most people in real life, just think I'm weird so ir is nice to have someone who gets it.

Yes, they are at Grandma's and quite happy about it!

Anyhoo, I hear you on the hubby being home. My DH works every other Wed. and Thurs. night for outdoor concerts and when they get rained out, I get kind of bummed. I like having those nights to get things done around the house and eat all kinds of "weird" healthy stuff that I can make for myself, but wouldn't make for him. It is so much harder when they are home, and harder still when they are home and eating junk food!
It sure is. I got to smell his dinner last night and it reminded me of this. I guess the plus, is that he is now working Friday and Saturday nights, so it is a trade off.

I will! Yes, I do still have your number (I think). I am pretty sure I kept it for this very reason.

Ok, something is pissing me off with the scale this week and I haven't seen any relief. Aunt Flo is visiting, so I am hoping that is what it is because despite taking in some extra sodium, last weekend wasn't horrible. Anyways, just needed to vent on that.
I have a training session with my trainer later today and I am sure I'll do some cardio, afterwards.

Workout with trainer:
We did chest and shoulders. My arms are still quivering.
Bench press w/BB
45X10 - WU, 65X10, 75X10
Then he had me do some shoulder stuff. He started with the NG overhead press where I did 10 reps right into the DB shoulder press, back into the NG overhead press. I did 3 sets of this.
Neutral Grip overhead press
12.5elbX10, 12.5eX10, 10lbeX10
Dumbell Shoulder press
12.5eX10, 12.5X10, 12.5lbeX10
Side raises
12.5X12, 12.5X12, 12.5X12
Into push ups, which I love. Love doing them at the end, when my arms are shot.
BWX10, BWX10, BWX8

I then did 25 minutes on the eliptical and then saw my step mill open, so I did another 15 on there.

Trying to not freak out about the scale right now. I just need to focus on the main goal and that is fat loss. Maybe doing weights 2X a week is a better match for me right now. Keeping the deficit going and make something happen.

I just try to avoid the scale. I only check when I get too curious or its my monthly weigh in...I am sure you will be fine!!

I have been keeping my workout schedule to 2 lift days, 2 cardio and 2 GPP. Its seems to be my magic mix,...for now! You are doing great keep up thegood work!!

My loss is hardly flying along at record speeds, but I did find that the 2/week lifting helped, especially with keeping me at a deficit (less eating the entire house after a lifting session!)... KUTGW!

Don't get too down over the scale. You've made such amazing progress over the beginning of the year, the second hald will be just as amazing.

I actually broke my scale over the weekend (ok, a wet puppy broke my scale over the weekend). I feel totally lot without it this week. I'm getting a new one soon!

Thanks, I think that might be what I need to do. Just went back and looked at my log from when the weight was coming off. Thanks for your input.

Ah, thank you! I am giggling about the wet puppy breaking the scale.

The scale was back down to 157 this morning, so that is a good thing. I am feeling a little better about things.

Just cleared off my Polar numbers and want to get them in here. And again, I wear mine all day long - not just during workouts and I know it isn't 100% accurate.

Ginger--sometimes after a whoosh I stall out or even gain a little and then whoosh again. Here's hoping that's what's going on with you!

I love how you use your Polar all day long. That might be interesting to see one day, even if it isn't completely accurate. I would love to get one of those Body Buggs even for a few months just to get a picture of my all day caloric burn.

Hopefully that is what is going on. I love your new picture! Look how trim you are getting!

Thanks, Jane. It is interesting to compare some of those numbers, which is why I figured it might be time to take a look.
Looks like I am going to go to a co-worker's wedding tomorrow, so I won't be able to head your way. But, we need to get something together. My hubby works on Saturday's now so we won't have much going on.

I thought the curiosity of wearing it all day would wear off, but it hasn't yet. Know I can look and see when I might need to move a little more that day, to get my calories up. I would also love a Bugg, but my budget can't fit it in. I am hoping the price will come down on them, because the concept is pretty awesome.

Well, I was going to head to the gym and get some cardio in, but I have decided not to. My plan was to get in the kiddos rooms while they are at Grandma's and do some cleaning, just in time for the new school year. It is so hard to do when they are here, because they don't want to get rid of anything. So, after I hang out here for a few, that is what I am going to do. I also stopped by the store and picked up some chicken (this is my excited face ) and veggies. I am going to get some food cooked up and put it in the freezer, so I don't need to worry about it on Sunday. We have to get up in the morning on Sunday to go get the kiddos and I know our day will be busy.
Then, I am going to sit down and watch the Olympics. I am hoping my Mom will come over, too.
I have been feeding a little family of stray kitties for about 3 weeks now. When they first started coming around, they were very skittish and I couldn't even be outside when they were eating. Last night, they let me sit on the porch and so I was talking to them a little. I want to try to get a live trap and get them to the Humane Society, before the cold weather comes. They are beautiful and sweet, they just don't have a home. They eat like crazy every night and if I don't have their bowl filled up at 9:00 p.m., they sit out there and wait. My Husband now calls me the "crazy cat lady".... LOL

Well, you really have adopted a litter of kittens, haven't you? Last year two neighbours were giving water, but not food, to a stray cat. They couldn't figure out why he/she kept hanging around. One of the other neighbour's daughters was feeding it cat food off a spoon every night. Everyone thought it was a housecat that someone had abandoned. It turned out she was from the end of the block and just seemed to like the food she was getting up here better.

If the kittens are feral a lot of the shelters around here won't take them. One of our last cats was a barn cat who was pretty close to feral when we got him. After a couple of weeks where he lived in the field across from the house (coming back for food) he decided he would rather live indoors. After that point he almost never went outside again. Good luck with the kittens.

I have and I knew when I made the decision to start feeding them, that I had to be regular with it and keep it up. They look to be probably about 8 weeks old. They are just the sweetest things and now when I talk to them (I know, carazy!) they look up at me and don't just scurry off, so I have hope. There is 4 of them. 3 are black with white markings and the runt is gray with white markings. Ugh. I think the cat dad was someone's cat and they left him or something, because he isn't afraid of me and actually comes right up to me. He sits and lets them all eat, before he jumps in. It's just a pathetic site. He's been around for a while and our cat was a stray and I really think she could be his.
I would definitely take in at least one of these, against my husband's wishes. Baby Irish could use a brother or sister. I have my eye on the little runt.
I am so cracking up over the neighbor's cat!
Can you tell I am a little obsessed with them right now? One of my neighbor's started lecturing me on feeding them, but I can't help it. They are hungry.

Cardio this morning. I had a little bit of ADD going on.

10 minutes on the step mill
20 minutes on the eliptical
15 minutes on the treadmill. It felt good to run a little. I always forget how much I enjoy it.

It is a gorgeous day here.
