Great pictures!
Why is it so hard to discuss your dissatisfaction with your trainier? You are paying him/her to train you are you not?

but I have to say that the confidence that I have built by building my current body on my own, WITHOUT a trainer has been wonderful. I have a history of attributing my successes to others, and this has been a nice lesson to myself that I have the power to change within me, and it is not dependent on the magic of a particular trainer or training method. this is not to say that I might not return to a trainer someday when I want to step it up some. but the magic ingredient in success is within me. and for you, it is within you. trainers are professional guides. we have the power within ourselves to change!

Good stuff, Wendy. I needed to hear that.

Hmm, not sure. I think I may be a wimp when it comes to standing up for myself?!? I don't know, but I am working on it. Thanks for the compliment, Greg.

Ok, so I took Saturday off. I did some shoulder and ab work on Sunday.
I took Monday a.m. off, but got in there last night for the following workout, by myself.
Chest Pulls: 55X12, 70X12, 70X12
Wide Grip Lat Pulldown: 70X12,70X12
Bent Over Rows: 50X10, 50X10
Rev Grip Lat Pulldown: 70X12, 70X12
Rev. Grip Bent Over Rows: 50X12, 50X10
Hammer Curls: 10X10,10X10, 10X10
Bicep Curls: 10X10, 10X10, 10X10
Jackknives: BWX15, BWX15, BWX15
I jogged for 35 minutes on the treadmill, trying to stay in my official "fat burning" zone. Did well, but will work on this harder.
This morning I did 20 minutes of jogging and 15 minutes on the eliptical and out of that time, I spent 30 minutes in that zone. My daily goal is to try to get 60 minutes per day in the zone. (HR 152-172)
I have a training appointment at 4:30 today.

Very nice progress shots Ginger. And good job on talking with the trainer. I had to set mine straight a time or two during this past year.

Okay, so it was a bit humbling to post my pictures after all of you girls still in the challenge had. I appreciate the gentle nudge! : )

Oh, please. If you don't watch it, I'm gonna drive there in 2 weeks and kick your baby ass!
Those pictures look fantastic and I can't believe you won't post the back, because it is a great shot, too. That photographer is something else.
I have workouts to get posted. My food has been 100% this week, minus the sodium-ridden chinese I had yesterday, but I am guzzling water like a champ, trying to flush it out.

I need to catch up with some of my workouts.
Wednesday a.m. - cardio
Wednesday p.m. - cardio/abs
I got my 60 minutes in the zone for the day. I did 2 different ab exercises at 3 sets of 15. My new plan is to do something abs-wise at least 4 days a week.
Thursday was my workout with my trainer. I still haven't done legs with him, but we did some upper body stuff.
Wide grip lat pulldowns
70X12, 70X12, 70X12
Bicep curls with the cable/rope thingy
30X12, 30X12, 30X12
Seated Rows
70X12, 70X12, 70X12
Underhand grip lat pulldowns
70X12, 70X12, 70X12
I know we did something else, but I didn't write it down and my memory is failing me. My sessions are going better and I, as well as my body are happy about that.
Friday a.m. - 35 minutes of cardio. 15 on the treadmill/20 on the eliptical
Friday p.m. - I did some random arm and abs stuff, using either 8lb or 10lb dumbbells. It felt good. I followed up with 15 minutes on the treadmill and then 20 minutes on the stairs.
So, back before I had this fitness testing done I would do the stepmill starting at level 5 and then by the end, I would be on level 7. Well, since finding out my true THR, I can't go past level 3 without leaving that range. So, I was working way harder than needed and I wasn't burning calories like I should have been. Live and Learn.
Food has been on. I feel good about my food and my workouts and I expect to start seeing the scale moving. I guess right now, my main focus is fatloss, while keeping the muscle I have worked so hard to build.
My kiddos are going to the movies today and the theatre is right across from the gym, so I'll have some time to get a nice, unrushed workout in.
My trainer is off to the beach for a week, so I am thinking a good leg day on my own with some squats and such is a good way to start.

I'm really glad that your sessions are going better with your trainer! I hate confronting people, and am impressed that you did what you needed to do instead of suffering in silence. Awesome!
