So, this past weekend (the refults, workout, etc) has sparked me to think about some things. My training isn’t producing the results I was working for. There have been many flags that I have chosen to ignore. Having ). I have been questioning my progress and there seems to be some real reason for this. I do not think my trainer has my best interest at heart and this is all I am going to say. My workouts are beating me down mentally (and physically) and not in a good way. I walk away feeling worse about myself.
It is a good damn thing that I haven’t been injured up until this point. Some changes need to occur. Call it an epiphany, call it a good friend helping another friend out or call it good timing. It is what it is. Now, I have to have a conversation that I dread and all I can hope is that my trainer’s ego doesn’t get in the way. If it does, I move on.
I cancelled my appointment yesterday and if I don't get the chance to corner him tonight, I will cancel tomorrows appointment.
On a happier note, I ran this morning a bit and it felt good. I am loving my new Polar F11. It rocks and it has all my numbers plugged into it.

Good for you, Ginger, for knowing enough to realize when something isn't working for you. I'm sure once you write down your goals and figure out what YOU want, you WILL achieve it all! You've worked very hard and gotten soooo strong! You've got a lot to build off of.

Hey Ginger-
I know just what you are saying about feeling beaten down by the workouts. I hope you are able to resolve everything the way you want.
BTW, great job on your numbers! I'm impressed and you can really see the changes in your photos as well.

Thanks, Leah. Glad that you can relate.
Thank you for the compliments. I see bigger and better changes in my future, once I tweak some things. That has to happen from time to time, no matter what.

You work SO, SO hard-you deserve to feel awesome about yourself, your workouts, and where you are going. I think you know what's best for you, so listen to your instincts and put that awesome motivation towards something that makes you feel as good about yourself as you should!

Good for you!!! You've gotta take charge of yourself, and once you realize you've veered off the path you want (need) to be on, you stand up for yourself and either fix things or make changes. You're ready to do that.
I'll be waiting to hear how your talk with the trainer goes... go get 'em!!!

You know, Ginger.....I've been tweaking, too. I set my goals back in January and gave myself until July 4 to reach them. So, I had to reassess every so often. I switched around on TNT plans, tweaked the diet, skipped NROL4W phases, now finishing up with WSFL. I think it's GOOD to re-evaulate every few weeks to make sure we are on course with our ultimate goals.

I'm sorry to hear that things aren't working out with your trainer... you were so excited about him before. But I'm glad that you've had an epiphany. I'm sure things will work out. Your workouts have been amazing but I can see how they would be physically and mentally draining. I hope whatever you chose to do makes you happy! :-D

I'm so glad to hear this, Leah, so you will see that your BF% is lower than you think!

Wow, more quoting weirdness in Ginger's log.
Good for you for looking squarely at things and being willing to change things up if needed!!

Thanks, Bytsi. I'll be sure and keep my log updated with the talk and the outcome. I am feeling a bit more optimistic today that it will go well.

I agree, we have to evaluate and make sure what we are doing is working. I've been working with him since the 2nd week in February, so it was about that time. thanks so much for the words. I was kind of mess this weekend. I'm glad I posted about it to get some feedback and support.

Hi Kara! Yes, it's one thing to be wiped physically, but the mental is really tough to bear.

Yay! I think you will love it. It is such great info to have and REAL numbers that you can't argue with. I'll check your log to see how it goes.

Sorry. It's my fault. I try not to spend too much time here when I am at *work*, so I usually copy and paste from Word. I thought I had it figured out to prevent that, but apparently, I don't.
I haven't had the talk (I feel like I am gearing up for the Birds and the Bees talk with my son, LOL) with him yet. I did go ahead and keep my appointment for this afternoon, because I think this will be the best way to get it over with. I talked with another one of his female clients last night at the gym and she had a similar problem and talked to him, she said it went well. So, I am a bit more confident.
Last night I did 24 minutes on the step mill, 15 on the eliptical and some abs.
This morning I ran for 25 minutes and did some serious stretching.
Again, loving my new Polar HRM/watch. It is the bomb.
