Thanks Anne! It really took me about half of last weekend to calm down and I've been a bit grouchy this week too. But today I feel much better.

Hey Bytsi - I am supposed to be on the lookout for pushing myself too hard and getting to a breaking point, so I'm trying to be careful. This week I think I did a bit better at knowing when to push and when to rest.

I know this is only my opinion, but I think it's wonderful that you made a decision to have the tub soak and do nothing rather than eat or drink a bunch of stuff that you'd regret later. Your progress pics are great and I'm so excited for you that you're doing the figure competition!

Hey Karen-
Thanks for the kind words. I'm excited too!

You look awesome!
And I just have to reply to this, because I had a very similar incident today and I was a mess. Blame the hormones!

Hey Ginger-
I want that furry down vest really bad, but its kinda pricey so I'm holding out.

Thanks Chloe! I'm 5'9". The posing coach said that I'm nice and tall - as though being tall is something I did to get ready for the comp. It made me laugh.

Hey Julie! I've been hitting the Calgon quite a bit this week - I love soaks in the tub.
So this week I found a lady to make my competition suits and gave her a deposit, met with the posing coach, did some practicing and took some pics, and did my lifting, went to martial arts twice and tanned a couple times. It was pretty rushed!
We are preparing for our first test in martial arts and the instructors have run through it with us a couple times. I know we know all the stuff since the first test isn't too bad, but we'll probably be nervous and we need to do everything "with intensity." Right now I don't have a whole lot of intensity left after lifting in the morning and working all day and not eating much. This week's diet is staying the same (1350 cals / BW protein) and then Leigh said we will switch to some calorie and carb cycling, so I'm praying the day of the test will be a higher cal/carb day.
Shawn is working this weekend which means I can relax, nap, cook, and take care of some chores. I've been to the store this morning and I'm making a rump roast stewed in Penn Brewery Oktoberfest for dinner. Of course, the portion is a bit on the small side, but I can deal with that.
Here's some of my first posing attempts:

Those crazy shoes have such a great slimming effect! I've been trying to walk around the house in them as much as possible because I read that you should seem as comfortable as if you were in your bare feet when you're on stage. Yeah right!
I just noticed my poor kitty is in the background with demon eyes!
The rest of today's plan is: nap, stretch, short run, stretch again, shower, make my roast, relax ... I'm excited.
