Wow you're really doing a great job on improvements as you progress. This is very nice work. I have had more than one day whereby I felt as if I had been hit by a truck the next day.

Todays Workout
Workout A
Squat 3 x 10 65# **
Seated row 3x10 @70#
Push ups 3 x 10
Step Ups 3 x 10 @ 10/e - dropped weight for form control
Jack Knives 3 x 10

** tried the olympic bar with 10# my form went to hell and someone came over and was telling me how to correct it. I am easily shaken but it was good information and I will try to correct it. So i dont feel super confident now but I still feel pretty good. And talking to him was nice because midway through my step ups I paused and he walked by and said come on you can do it Heather!

Todays Workout
Workout B
Deadlifts 3 x 10 @ 70#
Shoulder Press 3 x 10 @20/e
Lat Pull Down 3 x 10 @ 70#
Lunges 3 x 10 @ 15/e
Swiss Ball crunch 3 x 10 @ 25#

I don't think I have ever sweat this much - its gross!

I am feeling dread over my next workout, during this workout today I was thinking, man I can't do this I'm not going to be able to do it again. I need to find a way to keep it together, I don't know where this sudden feeling of doubt has come from...

Thank you! I dont like to do back to back workouts but my schedule forced me to. I felt good after I completed the workout - my body is just really sore.

My husband (jugglecat) helped me with my squat form last night and I read some tips in "Starting Strength". So I have to say I was kind of excited to get to the gym and power through the workout.

I can't say for sure what happened at the gym yesterday that made me so unsure of myself. moment of weakness thank goodness there was no unhealthy food around!!

Well, I am glad to read that you pushed past that feeling! I have felt that way too, but am too darn stubborn to give up.
Great workout, keep it up!

Saturday's Workout
HIIT
Bike Intervals (at home)
25 min - levels 1 and 3

Either my bikes difficulty is alot different then the ones at the gym or the bikes at the gym are overused, I normally do 1 and 9 at the gym - my bike at home is as C52R by Sports Art and I was struggling to keep my RPM's above 100 at level 3 for my minute.

I finished up this workout by doing some Jack Knives 5 - practicing my form (pike) and then I even did a REAL BOY pushup!!!!! I suprized myself that I could do one. Huh...

Great job pushing through the panic feeling. It still happens to me sometimes. It's just mind tricks. You are doing great!

Once, I got on a bike and it was soooo....hard. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. Then, I realized that the weight was set for a much heavier person, and that made the tension way high. I don't know if your home bike works like that, but it would explain some stuff.

Oh I must report I let myself have a real cheat meal to celebrate completing the stage 1 workouts. I had a thai grilled chicken wrap not bad at all really it was the handful of fries that I dipped in cheese sauce that was my cheat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They tasted good I and although I will be riddled with guilt over the next few rest days - I am glad I finally gave in to a real cheat. So I cant feel deprived of anything.

Okay - I took my break and did HIIT Monday and Tuesday - on an Eliptical made for a good sweat I still felt super lazy on without my lifting routine.

So Today Thurdays Workout I broke down and gave up the break did my workout at home under my husbands guidance for some of the new moves.

Todays Workout
Stage 2 Workout A
Squat Push Press 2 x 10 @45#
Step Ups 1 x 10 25/e 1 x 25 @ BW (better new form - no touch well a little)
One Point Rows 1 x 10 @ 10db 1 x 10 @ 13db
Lunge w/bf elevated (wth?!) 2 x 10 @10/e
Push Ups 2 x 10
Planks 1 x 40 sec 1 x 20 sec - 1 x 60 sec @ 45 angle
Chops 1 x 10 @ 5# - floor 1 x 10 @ 10# - ball

Its brutal having someone you love guide and correct your form - I feel bad b/c I was geting pissy with him. Im trying to get the movement so I dont look stupid at the gym and I know he is helping he is just so much stronger and seems to think I can do more... it was a really really hard workout and I felt like he was watching every move (which he was - and I asked) I appreciate it and have the confidence to do the new stuff at the gym now. So I thank him very much and hope he knows I dont mean to be so mean!!!

Default Can someone peel me off the gym floor?

Today's Workout
Stage 2 Workout B
WGDL from Box 2 x 10 @ 45#
Bulgarian Split Squat 1 x 10 @ bw 1 x 10 @ 10#
WG Underhand Pulldown 2 x 10 @ 70#
Cuban Snatch 1 x 10 x 10#db/e 1 x 10 @ 8#db/e
Reverse Lunge w/Forward reach 1 x 10 @ 12#db/e 1 x 10 @ 10#db/e
Swiss Ball Crunch 2 x 10 @ bw
Reverse crunch 2 x 10 @ bw
flexion 2 x 10 /each leg (i forget the name but not the pain)deceptive little suckers
Prone Cobra 2 x 10 @ 60 sec

I would have liked to have spent the rest of my afternoon on the gym floor... instead I changed back to work clothes and found my car had a flat tire at the gym - so I had to deal with that with almost ZERO energy. BUT I MADE IT wootwoot

Bonus Note: a female trainer came over to me and my gm partner and said "Damn you girls are working really hard, great job!!"

SWEET!
