That's great, Heather!! You know, last night at the gym there was a couple working out and their form on good mornings was terrible...enough to make me cringe. Then, they set up for squats and I was scared. BUT, while his form wasn't great, hers was AWESOME! I was going to say something to her, but didn't. I guess I should have...would have made her day!

Today's Workout
30 min elliptical SS - moderate/fast
9.5 chinups on the assisted machine with 45#/assistance - to failure...hahahahaha

My legs are so sore today - I am starting to go deep on my squats and I am feeling it, I really want to get all the way down... I will get there. I have to make sure I get some good food this weekend and good rest -so I recover. Swimming tonight with the kids... although it "sounds" relaxing it is stressfull my little girl has NO FEAR - jumps right in mouth in a wide smile (20 months), whether I am ready or not here she comes!

Today's Workout
DW Swings 3 x 8 @ 40#
Deadlift 2 x 8 @ 120# 1 x 8 @ 125#
Pulldowns 3 x 6 @ 100#
OH DB Press 3 x 8 @ 25/e
Planks 3 x 60sec

Ok new one - some dude comes up to me asking "Did I see you doing deadlifts?" after I replied the obvious yes, he replies "thats unusual for a woman" All down hill from there asking me if I do hyper extensions then insisting on their importance and that I will hurt my f*ing back and how they are f*ing essential and how I should listen to him because he knows what he is talking about. I had to go in the bath room to check if my shirt said "help me I am stupid"??!! Nope still was a turtle saying shut the shell up! Guess I need something more unapproachable.

Pictures and measurements to follow - I am keeping my same format of Jan/current month, it motivates me.

just keep a wallet pic of jugglecat with the shirt off and flash it at the know-it-alls saying "this is my coach - I do what he says"

I never see much difference myself on a month to month basis. The important thing is that there are fantastic differences from your first set of pictures.

Today's Workout
Circuit x 6
Burpees 20sec
jumping jacks 20sec
split jumps 20sec
squats 20sec
jumping jacks 20sec
burpees 20sec
1 min rest, Repeat

This circuit kicks my ass. I was sweating so bad - feels good though I was starting to stiffen up from yesterdays workout so this got the blood pumping.

Today's Workout
Clean and Press 3 x 8 @ 25# ~WEAK had to go from 30 to 25...
Squat 2 X 8 @ 115#, 1 x 8 120#
Cable Rows 3 x 8 @ 90#
Push Ups 3 x 8
Plank 1:00, :45, :30

I have lost strength - its closing in on my back of week, I am feeling it. I feel weak, last week I felt strong, WTH!!?? Hopefully after a week of backing off I will come back strong.

Totally sucking too at the not ordering or eating out - summer is the hardest time (a total excuse - by far) its just quick and simple to have someone else cook. I know I stay within limits when we eat out but still I hate when I cant stick to a plan. I do weigh all my food that I make. I will still say I am sticking to 90%.

Man, I must be feeling guilty,... I didnt even have anything bad today.
I missed lunch, wait I went to the gym, came back to the office heated my lunch then sat down to eat at my desk and had to go to 2 back to back meetings, then it was time to go home. (I had the shakes and my stomach was growling through the meeting it was brutal!) I inhaled an omelette when I got home!!

Hey Heather,
Thanks for posting in my log about the scale and workouts and such.
I was having a weak day yesterday, too. I was close to tears, which sounds ridiculous but when you feel so strong some days, it sucks to have a bad day.
Your workouts still look great and you are making great progress.

Today's Workout
The BEAR again
Dumbbell deadlift x 5 @ 15#/e ~yeild 100/reps
Hang Cleans x 5 @ 15#/e ~yeild 100/reps
Push Press x 5 @ 15#/e ~yeild 100/reps

Did this every minute on the minute for 20 minutes.
My shoulders were burning, my legs a'shaking..... did this on an *empty stomach (*4 shots of esspresso) then ate a PB & Honey on wheat bread, mmm. I did think I was going to pass out at one point.

I just had no time to eat before my workout this am our computer crashed HARD and I was working on it and knew we had to venture out to get a new one so I had to hurry and squeeze my worout in. I figured I would skip breakfast instead of my workout.

Can't recover my files from my C drive I am pissed, but I saved iTunes and Pictures off my secondary drive, still refuse to reformat the other HD till I know there is no other choice.

Today's Workout
DB Swings 3 X 8 @ 40lbs
DeadLift 1 x 8 @ 120# 2 x 6 @ 125#
Pulldown 3 x 6 @ 100#
OH Push Press 3 x 8 @ 20#/e
Prone Cobras 3 x 1:00

I lowered my weight on my OH press I think my pulldowns being so heavy takes away on my shoulder strength. My shoulders are pretty sore and burning lately during these - so I am thinking of the decrease as an injury prevention.

Todays Workout
The BEAR again
Dumbbell deadlift x 5 @ 15#/e ~yeild 100/reps
Hang Cleans x 5 @ 15#/e ~yeild 100/reps
Push Press x 5 @ 15#/e ~yeild 100/reps

Ok I did this workout in the gym today - this is normally an at home routine, now I know why. 3 people, THREE came up to me saying I am tired just watching you. I wanted to say unfortunatly it wont help you on your fitness journey to simply watch me wear myself out.

My triceps are so sore I dont know from what but beware if I need to support anything with straight arms!! HAHAHA I am not getting good recovery sleep lately - darn olympics! GO USA!

Ah the joys of circuit training I hate having to do them but they do help with muscular endurance.
