Paula,
Your update pictures are amazing! What you are doing is obviously working. Nice job and I can see major changes, everywhere.

Me too, Espi... I have had the exact same attitude realignment . Oh, and the emphasis on NEAT...

Youngsters. Both of you. Okay, just a little younger. I had to work it out (as I usually ignore it) but I'll be 43 in January.

Paula you look fantastic! I can see changes everywhere, especially in your face. Yes this is so much harder than just working out hard, but it is so worth it when you see the results!

(Looking up calorie count from a site I have bookmarked - no, not telling you where you can buy 7 different kinds!)

~40g = 180 cals

And could you eat just that amount?

I took a Bytsi (?) Lesson and bought a small package of organic Dark Chocolate beans that is 34 g and 170 calories for the whole package. The plan is to split them over two days so I get 85 calories a day. I have lots of food numminess planned for tomorrow

You and me both like these choc covered coffee beans.. I am not buying them often as it contains soy lecithin. Nearlyt all brands now have this emulgator.. freaking annoying that is. Reminds me of the single brand that doesn't but of course doesn't come cheap and.. I have to buy it in another store.

For dark chocolate I'm not having portion control problems. It's the milk chocolate stuff that turns me into a ravenous monster. So, I just eat 2 tiny squares of dark chocolate every morning with my cup of java. In that cup also goes 1 tsp of cocoa powder (and far too much sweetener). Look forward to it every day!

When I'd have those beans at home I'd take about 5-7 of them with that cup. I find it is also easier for me to just restrict the eating of chocolate to when I drink coffee as I just have 1-2 cups/day. On lifting days I will have 2 cups. It's a rare rare day I would get 3 as that would make me buzz too much and inable to sleep.

Wow Paula... fantastic progress! It's definitely paying off to work smarter, not harder!

I made it a motto last year that I really would rather have GOOD Chocolate than so so chocolate. So that pretty much killed most candy bars out there. I like Dark Cholocate though - the darker the better. My favorite chocolate in the whole wide world is a Godiva Dark Chocolate Truffle.

Although the 2 pieces of Milk Chocolate Caramel Nut roll I had Sunday were pretty darned good too

I haven't busted into the beans yet. I might do that about an hour or so before I workout. I'll split the package and put the rest in my desk for tomorrow.

But I am enjoying my coffee with Cream and sugar this morning.
