Thanks Anne.

I think it's time to make some pumpkin Pancakes.

Remarkable progress.

I can see how envious the pears will be for your legs when you get down to a much lower BW. They look lean already!

There's still plenty of fat on the legs. Fortunately, I inherited my dad's legs. My mom's are kind of scrawny.

I have successfully navigated business commitment number 1 for the day. Lunch was at Treebeards and I had a grilled Chicken Salad with VInagrette. I'm feeling rather stuffed.

Now I have the retirement function this evening.

My cardio will be well fueled tonight from business functions 2 and 3 today. People have got to stop having birthdays and retirement parties. A little extra cardio for me today and tomorrow to make up for today's overage.

Random thoughts going through my head. Off to do cardio and read on the elliptical.
Business functions are tricky. Streamline Team Meeting today and tomorrow, Birthdays yesterday and today. Plus the retirement party for Dave and George this evening. *sigh* days like this makes me wonder why we center everything around food. I don't think it used to be this way (or at least it didn't seem like it). But it seems to be the norm in corporate America.

I should have stuck to the healthy stuff at the retirement party. I would have been okay. Better than the food from last week's overage tho. I at least enjoyed the stuff I ate today. Last week not so much. I'll put the carbs to use for cardio :P. I see a full hour on the treadmill today and tomorrow and then adjust my calories down a bit tomorrow. I'll probably skip whatever the lunch function is for tomorrow unless there's an option for a grilled chicken salad.

Paula, thought I'd share with you my latest creation with Flatout!

1 Flatout Light
1/3 cup medium salsa
grilled chicken leftover from night before
Chipotle Cheddar cheese
Cilantro

I put the salsa on the Flatout and topped it with the salsa and then the chicken and then the cheese. Baked and topped with chopped cilantro. Had 2 teaspoons of lite sour cream on it, too.

EXCELLENT!

I think we (meaning us people folks) have always gathered around food -- it just makes for good company and visiting. If there's not food there, what would we do with our hands?

Problem is, the food we used to eat was good for us -- good bread, meat, cheese, fruit and wine. Now, our "food" gatherings are centered around stuff that comes out of a box. We've kept the good tradition of gathering around food, but made a poor substitute with bad foods...

Kind of like how the hearty meals we used to enjoy after a good long day working in the fields. I still want to enjoy those big meals at the end of the day, but my days are filled with driving a desk instead of driving a team of mules....
