I thought was up in Amarillo area. I've never figured out how anyone could do that without puking.

Yeah definitely desert out here. Lots of weird shit out here too. Evidently they've created a replica of Stonehenge and the Globe theatre out here. I got some crazy pictures this evening while I was out and about.

Stretching is done. You know, I'll get to the point where I remember everything and she'll change it up on me. The good news is that it's getting easier for me to do a standing quad stretch. I could actually hold on to my shin with the left one and I'm almost there on the right.

What's the specific purpose of stretching other than getting limber (is that a real word?) /looser? I mean.. does it also do something re wt loss?

I've bought a floating 'tube' and thought to cut it in half and see if I can use it for foam rolling. But I'm essentially a lazy gal when it comes to doing things at home....

Psst: I'm one of those women guilty of always wearing spandex. To my defense I'd also always ride my touring/randonneuring bike everywhere, which necessitates wearing cycling clothes. So, I just didn't change into other clothes when working out or shopping.

It helps with keeping things limber and helps prevent injury. it also helps me become aware of what's tight in my body. I'm foam rolling too, it just doesn't fit into the suitcase very well.

Injury prevention is the main reason I've every done it. It's easy to forget how your body works in concert. For example, my lack of ankle mobility was hurting my ability to squat properly which ended up causing me to over use my quads putting a lot of pressure on my knees. I spent a lot of time working on my ankles viola! The knee pain went away.

I'm going to have to live on a lettuce leaf and water for the rest of today.

It's really sad when the side dishes are better for you than the main course.

Alright -- it's just about after suppertime. Just how much lettuce have you had today, anyway?

Not enough LJ. However, I plan on making up for that today.

I was never so glad that I held on to the tuna pouch I packed as I was last night sitting in the airport.
