Ah, but you're talking to an ex-drive thru junkie. It was my downfall many a time when I was thinking about 'eating better'.

Anne I am right there with you! When I got sick back in January/February, the drive thru was where I headed - it was easy. Of course, I gained everything back that I hadn't already from the holidays.

Watch Supersize Me ... that will cure you of the drive-through. I would rather plan and prepare ahead than go through a drive-through. And I can count on one hand the number of times my kids have had McDonalds.

Strangely enough I was never really a fry person. Even at my worst I almost never ordered them. I used to be really bad, but in more recent (more than 6 months ago) times my choices at the drive-thru were slightly better than most would think. I'm a grilled chicken not-fried person. And my favourite meal at Wendys was a small chili poured over a plain baked potato. Not enough protein, and too carb laden, but not especially high in fat.

Okay, no more fast food talk.

(I will point out that my favourite meal at McD's was breakfast. )

*sigh* Must figure out my menu for travelling next week so I don't over do it Monday evening/Tuesday - I won't get home until way late on Tuesday. Needless to say, I've budgeted 1550 days for both

Well tomorrows breakfast is going to feel postively decadent. Sauted Potatoes, Onion, 1 egg and 100 g of egg white. And I can split it between two meals!!!!

Day 2 Thoughts
Well I made it thru my first 1350 day.

I think the secret is figuring out how to get a lot of bulk out the bit of food you have. And how to budget things so you don't feel like you are cheating.

I was tired last night but I'm really tired tonight. I'll be going to bed shortly. I was in bed last night around 10 and lights out by 10:30.

I think I'm going to take workout clothes with me tomorrow and walk the track at work. That way I can incorporate exercise into my schedule a little easier and that leave the evening more free to do other things.

Paula major congrats on the loss so far!!! I agree that the NROL programs are just plain bad for women looking to do fat loss. They encourage you to want to lift so hard but that just makes you eat too much. Good for the bulk not for the loss. That is why I kept saying what Julie is saying. It isn't a fat loss program when people complained. I am glad to see you doing Leah's program and getting great results.

I like the lifting in Alwyn's programs, but it just plain doesn't like me. I bonked on NROL last summer (about this time actually and that's when the gracious Miss Leigh helped me the first time). And then I did it again (only worse) with the NROL4W.

ANd honestly, I was digging on Alwyn because I liked having the extra food and being strong - I wanted my cake and to eat it to so to speak. But you are right, you can't lose weight that way.

By cutting back the # of workouts and limiting/eliminating the interval cardio sessions one can have the cake and eat it too. At least if moderate fat loss is what you're after.
For agressive fat loss plans, that just won't do it.. the bare basics of lifting heavy = muscle retention and then let the diet do the work.
Either way it's making you hungry, but dieting + very hard exercise = being sick more often. Hopefully dieting + much less exercise = staying healthy?

Rooting for ya!

Thanks Espi

I'm tired this morning. I got 7 hours of sleep, but the last portion of it wasn't very restful. I was in bed at 9 reading, lights out at 10. Woke up at 1:20 to pee. and remember waking up 1 other time around 3:30. Then it was up at 5.
