Well after 10 days of being on track I officially went over calories today (I'm not even sure how much) since we went for mexican food for lunch. I'm okay with the fact that I overate because tonight I went and walked for a couple hours around downtown El Paso. I got a lot of good/cool pictures . Dinner was a mixed salad with chicken and pico de gallo for the dressing. The Waiter thought it looked good.
More mexican tomorrow too  however I think it'll be better because I won't sit there and munch on tortilla chips and salsa. Plan is to focus on protein.
The good thing is that the hotel has a scale in the weight room so I can still keep track.

Well this is interesting. Evidently the server has not propugate through the router tables yet. At the hotel this morning, I'm seeing different stuff than what I am seeing here at work.

Okay weighed this morning and and I was up a little but not that much. Today I'll focus on eating protein and avoid the overly fattening stuff. I've got to drop my co-worker at the airport and then I'm going to grab my camera from the hotel room and go explore one of the parks this evening.

Oh yeah lunch has again blown the calorie count. today was worse than yesterday tho - They didn't have anything remotely chock full of protein in the menu.

Ugh - sorry! It sucks to try to behave and not have the control you're used to... Just do your best and you'll be back on track soon...
I'm obsessing over Saturday - leaving at 5am, home around 11 or midnight - no control over food and very limited options... I feel for ya - glad mine is only one day! Although after my one MEAL of misbehaving last weekend I still haven't recovered and I'm very freaked out . You have Leigh on your side - you'll do great!!!

Hey Paula!
Those pics are fantabulous. Traveling and trying to eat well is such a challenge! Good luck the rest of the way!

Hmmm... the pictures of the nice church is gone, although now the older ones are back. I'm going forward, hoping we're now back to normal. Hope you get home, and back to your normal eating routine. Traveling can be rough.

Unplanned recovery! Take a deep breath, enjoy it, and get back when you can.

Those are exterior stairs. I think they were on a hotel or business building.
It's been a laid back day here in Houston. Bob and I got up this morning and went to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston where we met up with a friend of mine and her hubby to see the Pompeii exhibit. Then we went for Thai food afterward - it was pretty good but salty. I rarely salt anything. I've noticed my taste buds are changing a lot. Sweet is sweeter and salt saltier as of late. The lunch date with my friend was the last meal out I'll be having for the next 8 days. Then I get to try and figure out the food in Midland/Odessa - but that is a really short trip in comparison to this one. This is when you think McDonald's salads look good since you at least have a calorie count on the suckers.
The Pompeii Exhibit was pretty good, but I was pretty dumb to schedule for the day after I got home from a hectic business trip. I now have a Medusa coffee cup for my desk at work though. She's pretty cool.
I dropped Bob off at his place and then went and paid my car insurance and stopped by Tuesday Morning to see if they had any decent measuring cups (I prefer metal to plastic) but they didn't. However I did find the ramikins that go with the Le Creuset bakeware I purchased last fall so I'm excited about that. I can't quite bring myself to buy silicon bakeware to make muffins in and I hate non-stick (ever get a non-stick pan too hot??? it's absolutely NOXIOUS). so I think I can use these when I want to bake something. Now I just need to find the loaf and mini loaf pans and I'll have a complete set. I did see a set of retro styled mixing bowls that I really liked there as well, but I didn't get them. If they are still there in a couple days i might consider them.

I think Leigh just took me to a whole new level of accountability with fitday....
However so I don't go insane in the process, I'm going to create some "new" custom foods because not all things in the online version of Fitday are in grams.
