BLEAH.... Spent most of the morning in bed. The cold has arrived.
YEsterday got a lot of stuff sorted off my desk also started looking at Drupal themes that I might be able to use for dontbeapicklebump.com.
No workout because I was flucating between feeling really good and really bad. I was in bed by 10:30 and except for getting up briefly at 8:15 to call in, I slept until almost 12.
I still feel like poop this afternoon tho. No workout for me today either.

Thanks Vanessa
Ran to the store to get some mater soup and some cheese for grilled cheese. Definitely not in the mood for heavy food.

Feeling better this evening. I am having a grilled cheese and a big mug of tomato soup. I love tomato soup and grilled cheese. One of my favorite meals from when I was a kid.
Mom called this afternoon. Her hemoglobin is down so they are planning to do a transfusion tomorrow. We had a pretty interesting conversation about the caucuses last night. Then we got to talking about her medications.
Evidently her nephrologist is not listening to her when she says her medications are making her ill. He keeps pooh-poohing her and is not pleased that she's not being a placid patient any longer. So I got a list of her medications and quickly researched the two she's had reactions to... Nausea and Vomiting are listed as some of the primary side effects so it's not in her freaking head. She's tired of taking pills that make her feel worse than/aggrevate the actual problem.
I told her she needs to get a doctor who listens or tell asswipe that she will research the medications (or have her brilliant daughter do it) and get back to him.

Mel
Unfortunately Mom's problems won't ever be healed since she is in end stage Renal Failure as a complication from diabetes.
My cold on the other hand seems to be a lot better. Yesterday's Nursing seems to have done a bit of good.

The Challenge Plan
The Plan
Lifting
I’m going to start New Rules of Lifting for Women on Monday January 7th with lifting days being on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The plan will be to do all the workouts in this book from beginning to end with a rest week between each phase for recovery. Rest weeks will focus on learning any new exercises along with Flexibility and Mobility work.
Aerobic Activity
I’ll be doing Aerobic Activity along with Flexibility and Mobility on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I plan on working my way through the HELL Aerobic Drills so that I can actually do them.
Eating
Since I did the break-in and fat loss I programs in New Rules of Liftinglast summer, I know I have to eat a little more to support my activity on Alwyn’s programs. So initially my plan is 2500 calories a day on lifting days, 2400 calories a day on Aerobic days, and 1750 calories a day on rest days. I’m not overly concerned with caloric ratios, but my main source of foods will be lean protein, veggies and fruit, and healthy fats. I’m allowed 1 cheat meal a week.

Actually I feel pretty good Vanessa. Much Better than I felt Yesterday morning.
I'm still taking my Zicam and forcing fluids.
But I'm getting stuff done around the house without feeling absolutely wiped out.
I'm still saving laundry for tomorrow tho.
