experimenting with this shake pre workout:
4 oz eggbeaters, 4 oz OJ, frozen mango, strawberries, pineapple, glucomannan. the banana by itself just wasn't cutting it.

ok, proteini was good, but next workout I am going to sub apple juice, I think the OJ is too acidic for me first thing in the am.
however--here are the results
active dynamic warmup (from PBD)
squats warmup
6 @ 95
6 @ 115
3 sets of 8 @ 155
3 sets of 8 pushups
3 sets of 8 hammer strength row 35 plate each hand (seated row was broken)
different step today, so not as challenging
8 with 2x15 DB
12 with 2 x 15 DB
15 with 2 x 15 DB
prone jacknife, 3 sets of 15
core workout.
recovered with achievone protein latte and a banana.
I am psyched about my strength gains.

Have you noticed any difference with the glucomannan? I've been reading about it in Cassandra's new book!

sometimes I wish food wasn't such a hobby of mine. those people who eat only for the purpose of sustaining themselves always amaze me. I love food. and, unfortunately, I love preparing it and eating it.
so I am going to make the healthy eating journey as exciting and flavorful as possible!!!
mmm, the mexican quiches were great today for breakfast.

LOL! I have the same challenge, except the making food part. I could think of food all day if other things didn't get in the way, like life.

I wasn't always a chef--discovered it rather late in life. but warning, the obsession gets worse after you start liking the food prep part....

I'm thinking of giving it a try - especially on my low cal/low carb (1300 cals) days!

tracyvictoria, wishing that could be me. but as I sit here savoring the fennel seed in my italian scramble and how it complements the mozzarella, I'm guessing that might not happen!

good morning!
tough tough workout.
active dynamic warmup (PBD)
dead warmup
6@65
6@95
then deadlifts
8@125
6@125
7@125
then
3 x 8 shoulder press with 2 x 20lb DB
1 x 8 lat pulldown 85
2 x 8 lat pulldown 90
then
3 x 8 walking lunges with 2 x 20 lb DB
3 x 8 decline abs holding 35 lb plate.
I am wasted!!
oh, and track last night was very good! did some interval training and felt very strong. I think the weights are really helping my anaerobic power--I was able to hold a pretty high HR without feeling pukey.

You're probably training your heart rate when you're lifting too. Nice work.

thanks stingo. I agree. I am huffing and puffing on these lifts. they are tough! wish I could get as motivated with my nutrition. I am definitely eating clean, but I suspect the portions are just a tad big for weight loss.

Maybe but they might be just fine for fat loss. In other words your scale weight may not be changing but your body composition might be.
