Good for you, Wendy! About the eyebrows... I have mine waxed every 5 weeks when I get my hair cut. Never did it until this year!

ok, so I participated in this local fitness challenge. basically you had one minute for each station to do as many reps as you could. for the pullups, they were done on a gravitron and they gave women half of your body weight as a counterweight, other wise, all exercises were body weight. and let me preface my results by saying that everyone's form today sucked, including mine. so I don't want you to think I got this many squats atg or pushups that were chest to floor. but still, my results were good for second place in my age group and the chick who beat me was all of 115 probably, and had defined abs, so VERY low body fat.

pushups 52
situps 43
pull ups 25
squats 65
jump rope 70
mountain climbers 127
shuttle run 37

I owe a lot of this performance to the recent 10 pound fat drop. I can't tell you how much easier this stuff is in a leaner body. and I have to thank tom for challenging me to consider just getting it done, and leigh for providing some templates on how to do that, and my girls, jane, ginger, tina, and jill for providing unbelievable support.

I have to say, I am totally on a mission to reach my potential as a athlete. I have allowed myself so many excuses in the past, and I am really done with that phase of my life. feeling this fit is the best!

thanks!! I never ever thought I would be in this shape. I am really looking forward to meeting with this strength coach tomorrow. I am ready to start some serious training. I am sure he has some recommendations on how to prioritize fat loss and strength gains. I was fortunate to stumble upon him through another gym owner that I know.

Those are pretty impressive numbers for the challenge, even without perfect form. Congrats!

thanks pauline, vickie and anne! things are finally starting to come together with this fat loss thing, and as a result, performance seems to be just following.

I haven't attempted a chin up in a while, I think I might tomorrow.

Had a chance to glance at your log, Sounds like you really enjoy fitness! You have made super accomplishments! I too used to weight 230. Over the last 4 years I am down to 160. I never want to go back. I also like heavy lifting...you have impressive numbers. It is nice to see others doing so well. Congrats!!! (I'm right behind you,LOL)

thanks bev, congrats to you too!

so I officially have a new coach. we really clicked, and what is ultra cool, is that he has always dreamed of doing a marathon. so of course, we talked galloway method. some of you might remember that early in the year, I coached a group of beginning runners from a 10 min walk/run, to completing their first 5k. he is way ahead of that, but I think he is going to join us for track on tuesdays. his expertise in lifting will definitely help me get stronger and get great form. and he told me that he is inspired to go after his marathon dream. we know a lot of the same local people since he is an avid cyclist in the area. a very productive meeting. we meet on oct 20 for him to assess my form and current strength. this will be just as my PN program is finishing.
