thanks paula! love the rabbit.
karla, thanks for the feedback. I agree that I am making wonderful progress in my athletic goals. but sadly, my nutrition just hasn't been where it needs to be for significant fat loss. *you* my friend, have put together the whole package.
thanks marty. so far, the PN lean eating program has FAR exceeded my expectations. very very task oriented. the accountability is unreal. they want us to scan in or take pictures of our grocery receipts monthly!!!!!
mentally, I am really glad I have done a lot of work, because the old me would have found an excuse to devalue some of the accountability so I could continue to avoid progress. this time, I am trusting that these professionals know what they are doing, and I am just doing what they recommend. I can always reevaluate in 16 weeks!
lisa~ who I respect so much thinks very highly of PN, as do many on this board, so this is a bonus.

This is what I am most excited about for you on this new program. I read before where you were happy with your athletic goals and just accepting of your body but I did not believe that for a minute. I know you have a kick-ass ahtlete body in you as well and now we are going to see that happen. YOU GO GIRL!! I will cheer you on throughout this one.

((((((karla)))))) thanks you are so correct. this is why this challenge has been so powerful. we really have put it all out there for everyone to see, not just the pics, but the emotional struggles too.
I had my body fat done, and it is 32.5%, waaaay too high for an endurance athlete. I do love the body I am in compared to 70 pounds ago. but an even leaner body will serve me better in the life that I lead now.
sooooo excited to see my performance improve even more with fat loss.

That is so exciting, Wendy!!! I can't wait for the Olympics! I should kick ass in August because watching the Olympics always gets me super motivated!
Would love to hear details of how PN is going, how you are feeling, a little bit of a feel for what you are doing (I know you can't share all of it with us), and if you like it.

me too jane. cheer extra hard for ryan lochte. his sister is my coach and she TRANSFORMED my swimming. I was a total flailer--she thought I was going to drown! and now I swim with a woman who has qualified for the boston marathon a bunch of times, and one who is going to triathlon nationals in the 50-54 age group. I am getting so strong that I will need to move over to a faster lane soon. and I owe so much to coach kristin. they are a swimming dynasty locally and nationally. 4 of our local men who swam for their father, coach steve, were in the olympic trials from our local swimming program. I feel so fortunate!!! I adore swimming too, I just adore running more.

oh, and PN. check out precisionnutrition.com there are a bunch of free sites.
this program is FAR exceeding my expectations. task list every day. very structured with the cognitive tasks, but flexible with food choices within their basic framework. weight, 7 site caliper body fat, tape measure measurments and pictures WEEKLY with FEEDBACK. full complete workout plan emailed every sunday.
pictures of all of our grocery receipts monthly. the other 99 women are amazing. and even though this is group coaching, the individual attention to our questions and the promptness of replies from our two coaches as well as the owner of the company, john berardi himself has been spectacular.
I can see why there is a huge waiting list already to get into the program when it comes around again.

oh, the most exciting thing so far about PN_____ I have discovered that whey protein is good prior to lifting AND cardio!! my workouts are so strong now. and I recovered with a mixture of whey protein, espresso shots, and unsweetened almond milk. I am not hungry at all and down on the scale already.
these people have tons of experience working with athletes of all types, including endurance athletes. they really know how to crank up the body for performance while still allowing fat loss.
I absolutely have no doubt in my mind that I am going to be leaner in 17 weeks. (they extended the program by one week to allow us to get the basics down this week)

Hey Wendy-
I'm glad you are not hungry and still get to eat stuff you like - it sounds like a great program.
You mentioned a couple times about the grocery receipts and it got me wondering - do you get in trouble if you bought cookies or something like that for other members of your household? I know Dr. Berardi says don't keep it in the house and then you can't eat it.
