hello! just an update to let everyone know I am doing really well! my work is increasing more, so I decided to try a meal service, bistromd.com , I will eat the first breakfast after I return from my run today. I don't have time to cook on sundays anymore--I work all day sat, and I want my sundays free, so for now, I am doing this service. it is lower carb than I am used to, so we shall see. I will likely miss my cooking, but this is only for the next few months while I launch this business.
I start stage 5 on monday. I took two days off this week. I am going to do stage 6, so I might not get all of stage 7 in before the end, but I think I will continue doing the program as is, maybe even repeating stage 7 twice.
my marathon season starts may 17, but the long runs don't crank up until mid july, so then I will switch to a twice a week weights, substituting a swim on fridays instead of that weight session. my goal during the season is to maintain what muscle I have built.

I've always wondered about those meal services - tell us how you liked it! Do they bring the food ready-to-eat or is there any prep to it?

bytsi, the food is great! I had grilled salmon in this wonderful orange glaze with sambal oelek seasoning, kind of like chili. strawberry cheesecake. all good!
the food arrives weekly in dry ice. you have to boil the packs or defrost then microwave.

ooh, just had to post some exciting news. I started stage 5 yesterday and was able to do the body weight matrix with much less wind suckage compared to the first time I did it. I had no breaks except for during the jump squats--I did 4 sets of 6 with just a few seconds of rests between.

In case Tina doesn't make it back before you are off and running again, she's a dermatologist ... but we lovingly refer to her as our local pimple-popper!!
Glad that you've found your groove!!
