Yeah, I know... It was weird. It was during the ab work after the quad work. I am not sure what that was about. I did not even really feel it coming on. I felt a bit out of whack but figured that was from taking 3 days off and coming back into it. I felt pretty strong during the squats but I really had to push myself. I was in the middle of the v-ups and I just had to barf. No, "I almost got sick" or "I felt nauseated". It was just there. Fortunately I was only a few yards from the ladies dressing room and I made it there. Then I stood there and tried to figure out what to do next. I still felt pretty strong so I got a drink and kept on doing my workout.

I was very depleted by the end of the workout. This morning the soreness in my quads actually woke me up and I am hobbling all over the house. Interestingly my hammies are also sore. I must've been doing the lunges really wide. Yeeeee owwwww. This one kicked ass.

You also had calf work right before, which isn't too metabolically disruptive. Weird!

And if you don't mind a thread hijack, can you explain why a lady who doesn't enjoy TV or movies has two projection setups in her house? I have a nice bigscreen TV and don't get cable, but we like to watch DVDs. Your situation, however, has me stumped!

Nice gains!

Hey, I say don't let Bally's chase you out -- you be the instigator of change at Bally's! Have your hardcore barf bucket at the ready. Dunno about bringing in porn to post on the walls, though.

It isn't that I do not enjoy movies. There are some that I do very much. But in the grand scheme of my life and its priorities, watching a movie is ususally way down on the list. My life is filled with passions that involve me being involved. I actively play and perform on classical guitar and promote the clasical guitar via several differnt programs. I am a classical music fan in general and spend many hours each month going to concerts or absorbing some new work. Tonight, in fact, I have a performance type party going on at my home. I have a farm with rescue horses (11 of them) and another property that I manage. I am a health consious person meaning I run, or lift or somthing like that also several hours each week and take the time to gain knowledge to continually improve this. I have two grown daughters and other family members to keep up with as well as a good number of wonderful friends here in Portland and all over the world. My real job is very consuming as I manage a program that is spread in many places all over the world and am held accountable to my company for this very high profile program. So where does sitting around watching a movie fit into this puzzle? I haven't really figured it out yet.

In fact sitting down to watch a movie can be quite a treat for me. I happn to also be a techno geek and have helped to write firmware code for projectors as well as audio and video codecs. I worked at InFocus for about 5 years recently and helped bring HD into the world. So when I sit to watch a movie I want the technology to be the best I can afford so that is the reason for the high end projection technologies. I put the one in my personal studio so that I could spin and watch movies and so that kids would have a place to watch cartoons away from the main part of the house. I rarely use that one outside of these occasions.

I also used to enjoy TV especially real TV and documentaries and that sort of thing. I just realized that too much of my time was spent in this sort of activity and at some point it all had to go away. Now it is hard for me to imagine going back to that sort of lifestyle where I sat and did nothing but be entertained for so many hours in a week. Since getting rid of the TV my life has been enhanced many times over. Nothing at all wrong with choosing to spend time in front of TV but for me it isn't even imagainable anymore.

I could just imagine the reaction by the guys if I did. Of course some of the girls might just well like the prorn that I bring in. In some ways I hate that I work in Ballys but so far it is less awful than the Y from what I can tell. My Gawd I so want to spend one week working out in RL's gym. What a crack up.

Come on over -- it won't be hard to prove the credibility of my Y stories!

And thanks for the explanation of the projection stuff; that makes sense. Very cool that you got to play a part in the rise of things at InFocus. And it's very good that you don't fit Nielsen's latest study that pegged the average daily American TV viewing at 4.3 hours per person. Yikes.

I thought wow, did the cardio queens run out of the ladies? And thought no, they are used to the sound of purging LOL! They probably thought "right on!"

I think I probably will never take off that crown. I just love it too much though right now I am loving lifting even more. Of course my body is not loving the lifting quite so much. The past couple of workouts have really made me sore and aching. I am feeling perpetually like I have been run over by a truck.

Wow, puking in the gym! You sure must have been challenging yourself!

You seem like a very busy lady. I always admire that! I would never be able to fit all those activities in 24 hours I think! If I manage to do my job, fit my workouts and French classes in, see my friends and family and keep the house a bit clean (and that 's the tricky part, household is my weak spot), I 'm a happy girl. There 's lots of stuff I would love to do and learn, but I never seem to find the time...

I don't know how hard I was working. I think that was a fluke. I really never felt bad.

Sounds to me like you are just as busy as I am. I too have so many other things I would love to do but can't find the time. This is why I do not watch movies or TV very much... (if at all)

Awesome job on the 100 lb. Lat. Pulldowns--VERY impressive!
I have nothing but respect for puking that is borne out of butt-kicking hard work! Anyone who has ever been there had to admire that response, wear that as a badge of honor!

Good job on the workouts in general, and the PRs specifically.

If you're still bulking, isn't 100 Cals above your maintenance level a bit light?

I don't know Brent. You may be right. I am dropping the cals for now just to see how it goes the next couple of days. I will see the trainer again on Thrs and that is when all hell will probably break loose for this one. I really am not suppose to make these sorts of adjustments on my own....

To make matters worse, I actually screwed up yesterday and forgot my night meal so I logged only 1900 kcals. Dooop. Hopefully I won't have to confess that one.

I guess I'll just have to tell him I had a few "cheat days" on my bulking program. LOL!

Hmmmm.... Sort of makes it all the more stupid to not listen to him doesn't it? I will go back on my bulk diet tomorrow. My bf% is back down to where I started and I know I did not just loose all those pounds. I did stay more hydrated though since my belly wasn't so full all day from food. That is likely what caused the measurements to be off.

Okay so at the risk of EX-posing too much, I did some shots today to show off the results of my bulk and to motivate me to stay this course of eating so much. It's hard to believe that just a few months ago I was nothing more than a cardio queen. This has been quite the ride so far.....

I obviously don't know shit about posing....

LOVE the bulking pics! You're looking huge, woman!
(I love these forums! This is probably the only place I could type that and it will be perceived, rightly, as a compliment). Your bulk is going great. I don't blame you for you questioning it, because it is awfully hard to bulk consistently, as a woman, I think, but your trainer seems great and I'm sure that once you start your cut you're going to be thrilled. (I mean, after your cut. )

Thanks guys, it actually helps to step back and look at the results from this viewpoint. If I just capture regular poses, it doesn't show the real work or point behind what I am doing. It will when I start to loose but us "gain" people need to be able to show our work too.

Last night I did shoulders/pecs/tris in the gym sans trainer. I reused the workout that killed me last week and again. The first superset is a bitch and I actually took some 10-15 second breaks on the last one at a few points. My goal for this workout was to keep weights lower and work on great form.

Warm Up
incline crunch with bar across forehead
1x15 (12lb)
1x15 (15lb)
1x15 (20lb)

Killer SuperSet
Shoulder flyes 1x10 (7.5lb)
Military Press 1x15 (15lb)
Close grip bench pushups 3x15 (bw)

twentyones - 3x30lbs

Pec cable flyes
1x15 (40lb)
1x10 (50lb)
1x8 (50lb)

Overhead tricep ext
4x10 (50lb)

Dips
1x10 (bw)
1x3 (bw)
