No time for the pain to go away. My mind screamed, "NO" and I think I may have called him an asshole but I can't remember. Anyway, I could hardly move my shoulders and so wanted to quit but he stood behind me and helped me up on the first rep and then coached me through the rest of the set. By the end of the hour I could hardly move my arms. I think I swore no less than 3 times. Yet for some reason I find all of this fun..... ???

AND we pay the trainers no less LOL!

Kudos on the great workout! It is fabulous you have a trainer to gun you on like that--my arms are sore just from looking at what you did.

I also find weights enjoyable, despite the desire to scream, puke, etc etc...I think it is because I find long bouts of cardio so freakin' boring (unless it's a run outside with my dog!) that I am happy with the variety of the weight room--I almost think of it like a game. "Can I beat myself today?" I'll ask. I just haaaaaaaaaaatteeee the boredom of doing cardio on machines. Ew.

Oh Dilly that is priceless. Did you just make that?

That reminds me... I did wear my T-shirt into the gym. He was sitting on a swiss ball just waiting around. When I walked towards him, I saw him reading it and then I thought he was going to roll off the back of the swiss ball from laughing. He appreciated the shirt and mostly appreciates my attitude. The funniest thing about me wearing that shirt in front of him is that he is nearly a whole foot taller than me. (Picture a chihuahua standing off to a great dane) I think I should charge him for being so entertaining.

The workout was pretty tough and at one point I felt nausea but I feel okay today. My back (shoulder-blades) my hamstrings and my shoulders are all tender right now from the past 3 days of working out. It is a good time for a few rest days. I am not too sore to cope so I think I am working just about right.

Paula I wasn't clear enough when I wrote that. He was laughing when he said that because he was teasing me. Of course the progress belongs mostly to me. All I have to do is follow his plan. That is why he quickly turned it around and gave me my kudos. He is actually quite lavish with praise for me so I have no question where I stand.

Karla,
I may take you up on the movie-making instruction, but so far, so good. These last two days were our exploratory-days... and the kids who chose the Seattle Waterfront as their neighborhood spent an hour today, watching Jennifer Aniston shooting a movie. They are, apparently, inspired to begin their own cinematic adventures.

Oh man... A little bit bummed here. I worked out really hard the past 3 days in anticipation of this business trip I had to make to San Jose. I am staying in a new(to me) hotel and did not know the facilties so I decided to make this a rest day. It turns out this hotel has the nicest free weight gym I have ever seen in a hotel. Several benches and racks of dumbells up to 50lbs and medicine balls and mats and a really cool cable machine (functional machine) Of course there are standard cardio machines each with thier own TV and a heated pool in the nice warm CA evening air. (Sigh...) My plight is unfortunately to work in my room for the night.

On the UP side of things I just ordered a 14 oz steak from the swanky restaraunt below. This along with the sides will bring my cals up to an almost perfect 2800 with macros at almost exactly 38,33,30 (protein, carbs, fat) It should be here soon. Looking forward to it. Generally I hate travel but sometimes it works out okay for me.

So tonight is PIG OUT and rest night. I am trying to enjoy this bulking thing while it lasts.

A high-quality 14oz steak in a nice hotel room. I can see why you're bummed.

The pool would be okay if you took it easy, right?
