You look fantastic Jane. I agree with Ginger, I suspect he's kicking himself for not realising you were interested.

Thanks so much, everyone, for stopping by. As always, each month you all motivate me to keep going! And, thanks also, for taking the time to take a peek at Violet...I'm still on cloud nine.
Well, today was supposed to be swimming class and a workout, but I skipped both. I had terrible cramps and just couldn't do it. Hated to miss, but that's the way it is. I finished my first 12-week modeule from Power Training (40 workouts), and I am thinking maybe this would be a good time for a break. I haven't actually taken a TRUE break in a very long time. Still mulling this over.
My appetite has been very strong lately, and I am trying to reign it back in. It's really not like me to be this way. Usually, I am just towing the line and following my plan without so much as a thought about it.
I'm also trying to figure out just how much lower on the scale I really want to go before I try to begin adding some weight back on. Timing-wise, I think it might be a good idea to hold out on trying to gain until the November time-frame. Then, that will take me through the holidays and I will be back to cutting in January (and, hopefully, discover some newly gained LBM).
I've chosen my next 12-week program to be the Strength module (again, 40 workouts). I am anxious to start, but just not sure if that will be this week or next.
Thanks again, everyone!

Jane I too had to make this decision recently and did so based on many of the things that you are feeling right now. First was this crazy appetite thing. I was starting to just be starving all the time which was weird for me. I also found myself needing more rest time and finally I got the opinion from a lot of folks that I was just plain getting too thin.
I talked to a few trainers RE next steps for me and they all agreed that 5 months of deficit is a WAY lot for the body to handle and that if you are under 20% or so body fat that it might be time for a "diet break". In my case it was time for a bulk. I did not reach my goal of 10% bf but that did not matter because my body was talking to me much like yours seems to be for you right now.
The whole concept of a "bulk" is most likely terrifying for anyone who has been overweight. I know that my first one was really hard and this one, I had to be kicked into it by my current trainer. That said this one is actually been pretty nice and easy. I know that I have the discipline to go back to deficit and I also know that my body will respond better to the deficit once it has had time to grow a bit.
I was thinking about this as I was getting dressed this morning. The word, "Diet" is really not a bad word. No matter what all people are doing a diet. Either one of deficit, one of surplus or one to maintain. The real empowerment for me in the future is that I will no longer ever do an "accidental bulk" or unconscious surplus. I now can eat above maintenance and make sure that I gain primarily muscle and that is okay with me.
At least mostly. My heart still sticks in my throat when I do my bf% on the scale in the AM and I see it climbing.... Don't know if that will ever go away....
Violet is darling by the way. Congrats to ya on the birth!

Thanks, ladies!
OK, the decision has been made. I am going to go down to 125 and then begin a bulk. My plan is to get to 125 by November 3. Then, gain 10 lbs by January 1. Then, cut again. So, that's the plan!

Violet is so cute! She's so lucky to have a great home to go to in December.
Wow! I'm glad you're still tracking from January. It really shows how much dedication you've put into yourself. You look fantastic!
