Scotch got me through many chemistry classes!
and if you take more chemistry you can distill your own scotch and make an aspirin chaser Chemistry is actually quite interesting once you get past the 1st semester of GChem.

Is yours a non-majors' "survey of chemistry" where you get a little GChem, a little OChem and a little BioChem all in one term?

(aside - I had really good chemistry teachers at a comm college - we were a dedicated few given the hours - 5 hrs Fri Night 4-5 Hrs Sat AM - but having a small class with good profs was the best - esp for Ochem)

Thanks everyone for stopping by! The forum really does give one the momentum or that extra push of accountability that makes for a successful plan.

Lisa: My Chem class IS for non-majors, but I just happen to have a prof who is just not very good! Three more classes....woo hoo!

Forgot to mention in my log that I did my intervals, as prescribed at the end of workout B, too.

I was talking to the girls at work the other day when I had the severe DOMS from the planks. They, as I used to, thought they sounded easy. So, I made them all do 'em -- not as easy as they look, huh!. The next day, they knew EXACTLY what I had been feeling -- they were all moaning in pain! I'm actually looking forward to them tomorrow because I am determined to really improve on them and even move on to harder versions.

That's AWESOME that they were willing to do them. Most of my co-workers just look at me like I have two heads when I talk about my workouts!

Hi Jane! Finally got caught up on your log, your Stage 2 workouts look wonderful and it's clear that you are really focusing on the moves, choosing proper weight, and recognizing signs of great progress.
Thanks again for the kind words and support you posted to me, it is much appreciated.
We just got a puppy a month ago, and although we have had moments of "What were we thinking?", he has been a great addition to the house. My husband and I don't have, nor plan to have kids, and we figure having a dog will help us avoid being completely self-centered. At least you can go out for the night and keep the dog in his cage--not so easy to do with kids!

Nice workouts Jane. I get so inspired reading these logs and seeing how all of you are continuing to kick ass. I really thought by this time it would be down to 10 or so but the quality of contestent on this board is amazing.

Isn't it cool how your friends are all testing the waters with you? I am seeing the same sort of stuff with mine too. I have one who is going full on hawg wild with the program and started the NROL book in fact. I have another who just bought a food scale. It is a good thing to spread.

Thanks, Ginger, but somehow I feel wimpier on Stage 2. Maybe it's because of those damn push presses and those one-point rows. I know I would feel so much better if I could do back squats and two-point rows. Oh well! Hopefully, I'll get used to these since they will be back again in Stage 4!

Hey Jane-

Push presses do totally suck and make me want to cry. But I think they have been a major factor in my shoulder development.

BTW, thanks for posting the taco skillet recipe, it looks yummy!

I can completely relate, Jane.

Doing great Jane! I love push presses (looks so "olympic" ) but I 'm very being a lot less enthousiastic about those one-point rows. I 'm still in stage 1 for the moment, but I 'm quite afraid that I won 't have the balance for those things!
