Great workout!! Have fun with your carb-out tomorrow! And, of course, we'll need puppy porn if you get the pooch.

Happy Birthday to your Mom!! And ENJOY every single bite of the mass carb load day!

And of course, we will need tons of pics of the furball if you get her!! BTW - my DH would call her a "cat that barks" since she's so little!!!

I cannot tolerate Omrons. They seem to have the greatest margin of error of any residential bf tester.

There are a 1-2 other methods that may or may not be for you:

1. Calipers. Fattrack II with myotape cost about $30 and is a digital 3-pt site test. You don't do any calculations yourself, it's programmed.
2. Tape. There are the couple internet sites that will take your girth measurements on specific areas (neck, waist, bicep, etc) and calculate a bf% off that. I'll be back with one or two of those.

yep! As a child, we had no pets because of my sister's severe allergies as a child. Then, just never got one on my own. Now, my sister thinks this is so funny that I am thinking of a puppy because I am such a particular person. Some might say anal! Everything in its place and very neat. So, I think I'd better loosen up! I'm a little nervous! OK...A LOT nervous!

Jane, so glad you getting a puppy. I got a 5lb chihuahua. We love her so! And today is her 8th birthday..on Valentines day. Don't want this thread to become 'pet photos' thread. Thererfore I'll post links:

Lady in her Princess sofa

Lady and my oldest, Emily

I am kinda particular when it comes to neatness, too. The pup will make you work hard (I'd rather keep a constant watch on her and take her out every 5-10 minutes than see a yellow stain on my light beige carpet )

But it's doable and if the dog is a smart one this potty-training time will be short. Oh, and my dog never chewed anything. I think her biggest trespass was peeing on the floor 3 times in 7 years of her life. And that because we forgot to pay attention to her. Our fault. So, you'll do fine.

if the pup relieves in the house, go get a rolled up newspaper and

begin smacking yourself in the head while chanting "I forgot to watch the dog - I forgot to watch the dog"

Hi Jane -

Enjoy the birthday celebration today!

I hear you on the tracking thing. I am thinking when I try to put on some muscle I am going to have to start weighing and measuring a lot more often since I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing. I'm not looking forward to it.

Great job on the special workout and congratulations on the puppy! Having pets is so awesome. You come home and there is this loving little animal who is always thrilled to see you.

Great job on the workouts as always! And enjoy the birthday bash! Carbs are my downfall too... I'm Italian, I can't help it!

Congrats on the puppy too, if you get her. I want one in the worst way, but it's just not do-able right now. Can't afford it, apartment won't allow them, too many other things on my plate, etc.... but someday I will have one and I can't wait! You'll have to post pics when you get her! Maltipoos are pretty cute :-) (But I'm a big-dog fan myself, the smallest I'd go is probably a beagle... knowing me I'd trip on the maltipoo, haha)

OK, here we go on Stage 2 of NROL4W!

February 17
NROL4W Stage 2 Workout A (1 of 4)

Front Squat w/ Push Presh
10x30
10x35
I don't like these. I don't mind the front squat and I don't mind the push press, but I don't like them together! I could definitely lift more with each of these if they were alone.

SUPERSET
STEP-UPS ON 20" BENCH
10x7.5's
10x7.5's

DUMBBELL ONE-POINT ROW
10x10's
10x7.5's
OK, you want me to balance on one leg AND bend over AND lift weights all at the same time?? Well, this one is going to be a challenge for me; hence, the light weights! I know this is good for my balance and core, but I hate to drop the weights so low when I could row so much more if I didn't have to be an acrobat to do it with this exercise!

SUPERSET
STATIC LUNGE WITH REAR FOOT ELEVATED
10x10's
10x7.5's

PUSH-UPS
2 x 10 (real ones)

SUPERSET
PLANK
50 secs/10secs
30 secs/15 secs/15 secs
Thes are HARD!! I had sweat just dripping off of my face. I really thought I'd have no problem with these, but I was sure wrong!

CABLE HORIZONTAL WOODCHOP
10x30
10x35
I can go up on this one next time. This is the first time I've done this exercise and wasn't sure on the weight.

This workout is hard! I had planned on doing intervals, but I was whipped! I had to talk myself into going in the first place after going to school all day, but I'm glad I did so I don't have to do this workout for the first time on a Monday in a crowded gym. I can only imagine how much harder the "B" workout will be since Alwyn ALWAYS leaves the hardest for "B". And with the Blasted Satan Squats in "B", I just know it will be a killer.

I think B has intervals as part of the workout, so perhaps it won't be as intense. Nice work Jane.
