Oooh that's awesome! I am going to make a butternut squash soup sunday night to pack in mine. Now that I only have to work two nights this week I have to get back to cooking good food. Right now I am eating a can of tuna mixed with 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and a bag of veggies out of the bag. This lunch may have plenty of nutrients, but that's about it.

Your progress pics look great and I'm really inspired by the weights you're lifting! You will be doing pull ups in your bikini in no time!

NROL4W Stage 1 Workout A (8 of 8) - Last workout A of Stage 1!
Squat
8 x 85
8 x 90
8 x 95
Superset
Pushup
3 x 8 (all 3 sets real ones)
SeatedRow
5x65/3x60
8x60
4x65/4x60
Superset
Step-ups on 20" bench
8 x 10's
8 x 7.5's
8 x bw
Prone Jackknife
15 x bw
12 x bw
10 x bw
Good, sweaty workout and a great end to Stage 1A. Will hit the last B workout on Sunday and then the AMRAPS next week.
Here is some reference from beginning of workout A until the end today:
Squats: from 55 to 95
Push-ups: from doing them on bar to real ones
Seated Row: from 45 to 60
Step-up: from BW to 10's (well, one set with 10's!), but I'm sticking with the 20" bench, so even BW is a challenge
Jackknife: from 8 to 15
Diet still on target. I have held off on switching TNT plans, so still on A. Scale weight has been EXACTLY the same for 7 days, which is really weird! But, then again, I've never been one to weigh myself everyday, so maybe it's always been consistent like that. I decided to do some trending this month; hence, the daily weigh-ins.

I'm looking forward to seeing your results in stage 2. Do you intend on taking the week off as prescribed?

I intend to take a week off every 12 weeks. Some of the NROL4W stages are very short (8 workouts), so I really don't want to break between all of the stages. I decided for myself that 4 times a year is good. So, I will try to time it as close to every 12 weeks as possible. If I feel my body needs more, I will certainly re-adjust.

Well, today I had a nice surprise. I was shopping for a pair of jeans and took back all size 10's to try on, my normal size. The pair I liked best was too big and I had to get a size 8! I can't remember the last time I got an 8! To be fair, they ran big! But still!

Good workout! I'm going to be sorry to say goodbye to squats and deads for awhile. I really wanted to crack 100! And, since reading Rippetoe's book, I am anxious to really nail down form, especially on squats and going deep.
I will do my AMRAP workouts on Tues and Thurs and then be ready to start Stage 2!

Oh, Lisa! This Chemistry class is a joke. I literally have the absent-minded professor and it's pure torture!! I got my first take-home exam and while I have no idea what most of the questions are about, I've been able to find most of the answers. I think I only have a couple I am still wondering about. So, I should get an A in the class...that is if this professor records the attendance, lab, and grades correctly. I'm surprised he remembers his own name. It's really sad.

Ya know, I had a physics teacher not too much different that that. His classes weren't structured to the book, he had a tendancy to go off on a tangent (or would that be a line tangent to the slope), and when it came test time, just trying to figure out what he was asking and expecting was challenging. I think a third to half his classes used to fail.

Me, too! This morning, I was up 3 whole lbs!! This, after my cheat day yesterday - when left on my own without restrictions (other than staying within calorie requirements) it's always a carb-fest!! It's amazing how much that affects the scale!

NROL4W Stage 1 Workout A - Special AMRAP Workout
Squat
23 x 55 lbs
Pushup
25 on lowest rung of squat rack
Seated Row
25 x 45 lbs
Step-ups on 20" bench
27 each leg x BW
Prone Jackknife
17 x bw
Stage 1, Workout A is officially finished! I wasn't feeling too strong tonight, for some reason, but I'm OK with the workout. I really worked on squat form since I dropped the weight way back. Rows still are difficult for me, even at the lower weight wasn't able to to add that many more. I was most pleased with the step-ups. AMRAP workout B will be Thursday.
I ended tonight's workout with 5 HIIT intervals on the treadmill. I would have done a bit more, but my foot was hurting -- the round pad right under the big toe. Ouch. Must be wearing too many high-heeled pointy shoes/boots lately.
