Thanks to all for the encouragement and nice words. I missed TWO workouts this week *gasp*. It's kind of an odd feeling for me that I "only" had 3 training sessions. Their was time to put the lifting one back in today but didn't see much point. The calisthenics went well enough. I'll just be a little extra rested for Monday!

BB Split Squat 3x7 @ 88 +1rep
Romanian DL 3x7 @ 176 +1rep
Notes:
Told ya next week would be better. 20lbs on the squat ain't too shabby. Didn't sleep well last week but I have a ton of energy and rocked the gym.
For the split squats I clean the weight (our rack has some sort of elevated platform that's too small and raised to do a split...anything). I'm starting to get pretty good at it. Some of my movements are going to be changing anyway, I could see adding these in somewhere.
My boobies are sore from yesterdays workout.

Hey Gob - Was it you I asked about doing planks? Anyway, I finally dropped in front of the tv at home and did it for 2 minutes. I can't imagine doing a plank any longer than that. I was shaking like a little girl towards the end of it. But I guess 2 minutes is decent.

Jim> It was me in one of these logs  . 2 minutes is around the maximum that you'd ever want to do one. That's one of the tests to see if you have "good enough" core stability that you can train safely.
For me, most of the core work is just insurance. I'll go through the different planes a little bit just to say I did it, but it's not for training really. Just something to make sure that everything is good with the world

The missed workouts weren't my fault. I had a motorcycle safety course that I "had" to go to on Friday. Monday, every gym was closed. That only is supposed to happen on Christmas and New Years. I was physically AT the gym...30min from my house (with the roads blocked off like they are). Standing there looking through the window like a puppy at a store...before the swearing started anyway...it all sort of went to shit at that point.
Now the logging I'll just have to take on the chin...I'm just lazy there.  Had a little too much stuff going on last week and am just now catching up.
