If you're willing to give up measuring by weight room numbers then the entire philosophy is interesting.

That mindset is contagious lately. Some people think it's an excuse for people whose weight room numbers suck. I'm okay with that.

Wed:
Squadron PT 55 pushups\situps, Run 1.5mi
Notes:
The pushups\situps were rediculously easy. Especially considering that I don't train either movement. The run pretty well sucked it up. The only time I run is when I do PT "and" can't think of any reason to do something other than run while I'm there. My first lap was pathetic...something like a 2:36 or something...which is right on track to fail the annual test. As I ran I more or less hit a groove and ended up with a 13min and some change and being 2nd in the group.
So...lessons learned from this.
1. I need to play some lip service to running now and then. My "new" unit is pretty well pioneering the kick people out for failing the PT test movement and it'd be stupid to even play around on that one.
2. It wasn't "hard". I'm actually in pretty decent shape, but I'm just not an efficient runner. I don't know if that makes sense or not. Spending a little time doing it will probably knock time off relatively quickly

It's one of those things that I feel is really conditional of your goals and ability. Like anything else you have to be able to identify and predict trends and unless you have accurate data (or data at all) to work with it's going to be really difficult. Similar to...everyone else's thoughts...there has to be a minimum level of competency in the components in "what ever you're training for". Strength, power, endurance (in relation to the first two), energy systems, what ever.
There's going to be a point on all levels where you just suck at it and you need to improve it. The returns\carry over are too big to ignore and your training has to be pretty well thought out to help accommodate your suckiness. If you're competent at what ever, it's diminishing returns. You can focus a lot of energy getting better at it, but you're not going to get a lot of reward. Maintenance is the new goal and there's a pretty big window for what you can do to maintain those competency levels. You don't need a big focus on anything, any improvements are awesome but who really cares?
Tac that down to real life application. You've got a guy that is active but not involve in any real sports. He's got some history of energy, blah blah blah. What are the minimum levels of X, Y, Z that he needs to work at? If he can do it...does it really matter how he chooses to maintain (improve at some point) those abilities? Not everyone needs to be a powerlifter, runner, what ever. It has to be interesting. It has to accomplish the goal. The results justifying the method.

I'll have to get that DVD. Gym exercises don't work all that well for me right now. My prosthesis holds up well, but my ankle failed me.

Warm Up
7x3min rounds heavy bag (Boxing)
stretch
pm
5x5min Shadow Boxing (Thai)
Notes:
The strait boxing workouts are pretty brutal. The constant shoulder movement wears you down quick. It's crazy but I actually look forward to the thai and mix workouts just because they spread out the pain a little bit to multiple body parts

I like the yoga. At least I like defined "stretch" time. Moving through the different poses is a lot more interesting than standard stretching.
I forgot to mention that my wife went to Paris this weekend (Yes, me and the kids stayed home). But I got a bottle of wine, a decent cigar, and a kg of chocolate and had a little vacation of my own.
I'm kind of a mess though. I was cooking some lumpia and had some spash-age of the grease = 2nd degree burns (which actually didn't hurt too bad). Yesterday's heavy bag session chaffed the skin off of both pinky finger knuckles. Then wrestling this morning ripped all of my blisters off my arm (still didn't hurt too bad) and opened up my knuckle. I didn't realize any of this until I hit the showers and seen blood dripping off my hand and the shower hit my arm (which HURT like hell). At this rate I'm going to end up being like Roland.
In other news my quest for fatness continues successfully. Toying with 166-167 right now. I'm definitely getting fatter but I'm in good shape, strong, fairly powerful\bouncy. Let's top 170 before I leave

Your wife is out of town and the best you can do is wine, cigar and chocolate! Did you throw a bubble bath in there Nancy.

Negative on the bath. I like "hot" showers and when I take a bath I pretty much feel like I'm going to die. What can I say? I'm not much of a man
And don't you talk bad about chocolate. Chocolate is freaking delicious. I went with the Lindt 70%, any more than that is pretty much too much for me. The wine is good. It's a local brew, Dormsfelder or something like that. Red, mellow, sweeter than I really like but good for the price. The cigar was a cuban something or other. That was more of a, check "smoke cuban cigar" off the list.

Play along all you want. We all know the real story. You were really touching yourself inappropriately in a marathon session that lasted until you ass cheeks stuck to the vinyl of your computer chair. It's OK. We understand.

I'm not saying that there wasn't some extended porno time going on, but just saying that, that's pretty much any time that I'm alone for more than 30seconds and doesn't qualify as "special or otherwise worthy of mentioning".
