Pull-Ups, 10x1

44/66/77/88/99/99/88/88/88/44

Notes:
I'm wicked bad. The 99lbs was arguable but I'm counting them. I thought I was going to go through the ceiling on the last set.

Bill:
Agreed

Gabe:
I don't think that "athletic training" has anything to do with lifting weights...for all given purposes. Athletes might lift weights but if they were going to drop one thing out of their day, it would probably be gym time (vs practice, specific drills). I don't want to "look" athletic at this point. I'd like to have a base layer of athletic ability for work and home. X-fit isn't perfect, but it seems like a decent starting point. Play with it for a little while and get a feel for what works (for me) and what doesn't.

LisaS:
Thanks . That first complex looks ridiculous.

Great job with the weighted pull-ups, Tony!!! 88 lbs for three straight sets is impressive. Maybe try wave loading next time to break the 90 lb mark.

Thanks man. For the record I broke 90lbs twice .

It's the first time in a while that I've done weighted pull ups. I think the next time around doing singles I would be able to get over 100. Regardless it was a nice day on paper (for me). I remember a couple years ago looking at Buk just killing this sort of thing and thinking that there's no way I'd ever be able to do it.

Very impressed! That's like doing a pull-up with two small kids on your back.

Ha! Any decent parents would forbid their children from playing with that toy.

Nice work on the pullups, Tony. Very impressive.

Today = Odd day

Scheduled:
1000m Row
30 Push Ups
1000m Row
20 Push Ups
1000m Row
10 Push Ups

What I did:
5k divided up into 3 blocks where I did my push ups

Notes:
The treadmill worked on the KM instead of miles and that threw me waaaay off. I suppose I could have just done 1KM instead of 1m but I wasn't smart enough to do that at the time so...I tried to do math and it was all weird.

Decent day on a whole. Just very strange.

Good stuff Tony. For the record 5K=3M. 90+BW on pull-ups is pretty studly.

I'm very impressed by those pullups. That's huge.

Where I was having the issue was dividing the 5 by 3 (breaks to do push ups). Then I was adjusting for the pace with the K per hour, and there was a little chart to convert but it wasn't right because it wasn't syncing to the time spent. The whole thing was crazy, crazy.

Scheduled Front Squats 7x1
Did Deadlift 7x1 (no cage)

275/335/335/335/335/335/275

Notes:
Not a stellar performance. I felt like my back was doing too much work and over all it was just kind of a nervous experience. I'm happy enough with the weight. Thats a little over 2xBW for 5 sets there w\ a little left in the tank. A little more practice to get comfortable with it again and I'll break 400 this year easily.
