It's been a little hectic. We started a new PT challenge that's been a good bit of work standing up with virtually no help or feedback. It's not necessarily a big deal but a lot of selling and logistical weirdness of trying to get 50 people on the same page\enthusiastic without dragging too many people down or driving others into the dirt. It seems to be working itself out though, let it fly for a couple of weeks and see what needs to be tweaked.
I decided to cut one of my training partners. He didn't show again or tell me what's up again (the latter annoys me more than the former). We've had some issues lately anyway but I'm not looking forward to that talk when he works up the motivation to come back in. I've put a lot of effort into him (I don't think he realizes it) and he's not given me a lot of effort back...it's not worth it. He's a good guy and I enjoy having him around. He's just not pushing himself on his end or giving me any respect on mine.
Tack on some serious DOMS in the quads and booty. It's a journey. The one benefit of leading the training of others is that it keeps me from trying to force changes and adaptations that aren't realistic. It's so easy to get sucked into "This is hard. I hurt. I'm not improving fast enough. I need to change something. Blah, blah, blah". Things are fine. If it didn't suck, or if it wasn't hard then it probably wouldn't be effective or an achievement.

I think Chaney might disagree.
DOMS in the quads and booty. What a joy. Bet you love getting into your car these days ...

I get what he's saying...there's a point to where you've got to turn things on it's head though. Hard doesn't = good necessarily. But if you want to be better than the crap that is "normal" then you have to work hard. I don't give a fuck what the "goal" is or what the application is. Greatness comes with a price. Greatness may be relative but if you don't want to be satisfied with half assed then you'd better be busting it.
whew...glad to get that one off the chest

Squat 3*5 @ 209
Row 3*5 @131
Bench 3*5 @ 176
warm up 800m
run 3*800m
Notes:
It's getting a little easier to push myself. Still get that whole gaspy I'm going to die thing, but I'm OK with it now. Figuring out the pacing I suppose. Lifts are going well enough. Low and slow. I think the bench is going to stall out before too long, which isn't a freak show type thing. Squats are fine, Rows are easy.

Run 3mi, 24:25
stretch
Notes:
I'm not "happy" with the run but not upset either. I made it the whole three miles without any real problems. The last lap was considerably faster than the earlier ones. The weekend worth of gorging probably didn't help the quest for prettiness. Over all things are starting to move in the right direction and "that" makes me happy.

I've been good. After being semi-anal from time to time I don't really care for the "bad" junk food too much any more. I'm more likely to go over on an apple or something VS a candy bar. Don't like regular soda...blah blah blah. So it's back in the land of good.
I am thinking about figuring out something a little different for breakfast though. I've eaten the same breakfast\lunch for the past 3 weeks (?) and it's wearing a bit.

I'm guilty of that too. I get stuck in a rut. For several months I had eggs for breakfast every day. Now I'm stuck on a protein shake. I have one every morning during the week and then switch to eggs on the weekends.
