Default Which DB Tricep Extension form for TBT?

I've gotten to the "DB Tricep Extension" in TBT and am wondering which form is intended or best:

1. laying on the bench with a db in each hand like a db skull crusher, or

2. sitting with arms straight up holding one db and lowering it behind the head.

Probably doesn't matter but thought i'd ask just in case . . .

Thanks, Rowland. I'm curious, does the book mention which version to use?

Btw, have you tried TBT? If so what did you think of it?

Thanks

From memory the book doesn't say specifically which one to use however the second option you put is usually called a french press.

I have done TBT. One of my favorites. It's one that you can do over and over again by shifting exercises around.

Like Josh says, the other one is usually called a french press or an overhead tricep extension.

However, either one would be fine, but I think the lying db version is a better exercise.

To make the DB triceps extension even more beneficial, perform it on a slight (20-30 degree) decline.

The other movement, as mentioned, is a French press or an overhead triceps extension. If you just see "DB triceps extension" you should be lying on your back.

Thanks everyone--especially Chad--for the clarification!

I'm wrapping up my first week of TBT and it's my favorite Chad workout. the number of exercises, variety and intensity are fantastic!

Hopefully the results will be just as impressive.
