What is everyone doing?
After reading the book,
Im going Total Tripple Training for the next bit. Its labled a 'beginners' program, I fall in that category. But I wont lie when I say its kicking my ass (in a good way). 24 Rep anything is pretty much the death of me.
Going to run this one for just the 3 weeks, then many WB or something along those times to switch it up.
After doing an upper/lower split for a while now, fullbody is killer, but good.
Whats everyone else doing?

I'm going to be following his increasing mass template. Currently I'm just about ready to start week two of BBB (Big Boy Basics) and after that will be switching to ABBH. Oh and I'm eating a whole lot of food.

I'm in my second week of BBB. (I'm following the lose fat/maintain muscle plan) It's taking some getting used to for a few reasons:
1. I'm not accustom to doing upper/lower splits.
2. he workouts seem too brief; i feel like i'm not getting enough of a workout while i'm actually doing it (but once i get home i'm definately feeling it).
I'm also eating waaaaay less than i ever have: at 185 lbs with 17% body fat, the prescribed daily cals to lose weight/maintain muscle is around 2200.
this is definately a leap of faith for me!

Hey Frank,
That's good to hear that TTT is challenging, but not overwhelming, for you.
What is the "WB" that you're referring to? I'm curious because it's important to not fall back into a lower volume type of plan.

Sounds good. The key is to not overwhelm your recovery abilities when you start a fat loss plan - too much training can impair recovery, which in turn, lowers androgen levels.
Be sure you're consuming vegetables, lean protein food sources, and plenty of fish oil.

I just started the TTT also because it was labeled in the beginners section and it is the one I haven't done so I thought I would get it out of the way.
The first day of 3 reps is what I am used to so it is going well
Day 3 of 24 reps is kick ass, feel the burn and keep going. 24 bodyweight dips is something i have never done before since i am usually doing 3-12 reps with added weight. This is definately the hardest day mentally for me because the pain is there, but i love it in a masochistic sort of way.
The funnest day is definately day 5, the speed and explosive training where you go lighter weight but explode through the movement. Its fun to move submaximal weight at fast as you can, but in control. This is the first time I've ever done box squats and it gets a big thumbs up for me.
I'm also doing this for 3 weeks before taking a week off and heading into strength focused mesocycle. Once I go through all of Chad's programs then i am going to venture into the Total Strength program at the back of the book.
Great new forum by the way, I will be a regular. Thanks JP and Chad!!!

I am going with the year program for increasing muscle and decreasing fat. Starting with BBB and going from there.
I am just finishing up a second go around of TBT but I was doing 6 compound moves 3 days a week and loved it I was making such good gains that I had to do it again just changed up rep scheme and weight levels and varied my movement patterns. Still making great gains.
My brother started lifting with me for his very first time and he has been doing TBT with me. His bench, squat, and deadlift are making awesome gains its crazy to watch his development. His 1RM for bench was 155lbs now he is at 225lbs, he couldn't really even do a good clean squat when he started now he is doing a full squat with 225lbs. His deadlift started at 185lbs now its up to 245lbs. He never lifted a day in his life before this and he has only been at it for about 4 months with me. Its crazy to watch him grow.
He just bought the book and has been reading it now I have a monster on my hands. He wants to know why we didn't do this why we aren't doing that why we dont do this section on and on. Its good though its kept everything fresh for me and I know I have put him on the right path for his body development.

Frank, My book is wrapped under the Christmas tree. I hope to read it within a couple days, and pick a starting point. I currently doing TBT now, and have always loved Chad's programs. Whatever I pick, I plan to follow it to the T. I think we all owe it to Chad to show people what they can do with this book, and some hard work. I'm 100% pumped.
Will chat with you soon. Have a good Holiday.

I'm doing NROL ST1 just to build a basic level of strength.
I'm then gonna do the programs for strength/size till around may. I'll probably do a Fat-loss routine then to lean up for summer. Than back to bulking in mid summer.
