Maybe it's different when you have to party your ass off but no, it's not hard to diet until January 5.. the trouble only starts afterwards.

If what happens in the past is a good predictor for the future, things will go like this...until about January 5, I'm alright & very motivated. It helps that I no longer spend a ton of time outside to cycle, like I used to in the past, so activity levels tend to stay more or less the same throughout the year.

The only thing to overcome is SAD, which only fully sets in around January 5 when ALL the nice winter events are finally over! (well ok, make that January 6, but I'm not Catholic) Everyone has ditched their Christmas trees, we've stopped congratulating each other with the New Year & everyone EVERYONE is on a DIET and also trying to cut costs after spending far too much money in December.
Worse yet, there's NOTHING to look forward to except carnival & ... doom & gloom sets in.
So, will just reserve January thru February as teh BULK months & hope for the best.
