The reality is that too much fiber is not an issue with about 99.999999999999% of all Americans. On the other hand, you would be amazed at the almost non-existant fiber intake of most people. Whenever I do 3-day diet analysis with my students or my athletes, the average is around 10 grams per day. WAY low!
