I'm a complete Oly noob, but I could never get my hands in position to actually hold the bar during FS... I roll it onto my fingertips and let it wrest on my anterior delts & chest... I usually end up with only 2-3 fingertips on each hand even touching it.
However, I am still working on my transition back to holding the bar after cleans (where I seem to manage to let it roll into position ok) for jerks, so hoping the experts will chime in here...
