I've got cheap-o KOSS Sparkplug earbuds. They are a little bass heavy, but they stay in your ears. The warning I give you is that they do knock out a ton of ambient sound because they are ear plugs with holes for the sound to come through. I use them working out, on airplanes, and mowing the lawn. For a noise dampening reference, they took my lawn mowing from 100% volume to 25% on my ipod.
