They count for 1.9 CECs which along with your CPR .1 will recertify your nasm-cpt certification and give you another cert which doesn't expire in the process.
You can probably learn a lot from the PES/CES too and have good reference to look back on.

I have considered it, but as I don't plan on earning a living through training, it seems like an awful lot of money to spend on CECs. Maybe if it was a 3 day multi-class conference taught by some of the best/most educated individuals around the country, but....
Plus, if I'm going to spend that much I would much rather spend it on texts/materials that NASM doesn't currently recognize (basically a lot of Human Kinetics' stuff and individual trainers' educational products).
You do have a good point, if I DID plan on making this my career the PES or CES would likely be beneficial.
