So in august I'm travelling about 9hrs drive with my bike. Now there is a company that will take my bike from home to transition of the triathlon then back home again. They said that they don't lay bikes on their side.

My question is what is wrong with laying a bike on its side. Ie laying it in the car for a long drive to an event?

Would you pay someone to get it to the event or just stick it in your car and do the work yourself?
