My goal is to be at a place where I don't have to track, at least not so diligently.
I'm tracking as closely as I can to help compensate for the times I can't. I used to not track veggies (as you don't in WW) but I easily eat over 200 calories a day in veggies.
By tracking obsessively for breakfast, lunch, snack, and an alcoholic beverage yesterday, I was able to guesstimate on the bbq chicken, slaw, and french fries I ate from a local bbq joint last night. There is no way to accurately know what I ate. Yet because I tracked fairly accurately for the last 6 days, a couple hundred calories off won't derail me. Yet a couple hundred calories a day will totally mess up my diet plan.
