Default Truth or myth? Flab gets flabbier as we lose it.

I am losing flab currently. I am going by visual and tactile evidence (how a few pairs of shorts, jeans and jackets fit) rather than the scale because the scale and I have a loooong history of mutual abuse.

I know I am losing flab, because the items I mentioned are all fitting better. Zippers are zipping, buttons are buttoning, butterflies are singing and I think I caught a chipmunk winking at me the other day. Anyway.

I just got terribly excited because I looked in the mirror and my gut looked awful. AW-FUL. Bumpy, cottage cheesy, jiggly, awful.

I am excited because I believe the myth that fat stores get even less attractive as we lose weight. What was solid-looking (and gross) becomes jiggly (and grosser!) as it melts away.

Do you agree? Do you have the same experience? Or am I delusional?

Wait, don't answer that question...

Leigh, any words of wisdom?
