BCAA. What are they and do I need them?
WSFL suggests than you can use BCAA instead of protein powder. It doesn't do a very good job of explaining what it is or who it would be best for.
The only reason I am interested is because I'm getting kind of sick of protein powder and would welcome a change. I typically only have one protein powder meal a day--post workout.
In terms of calories and macros is it similar to protein powder? I currently use Nitrean which is approx 110cal, 1F, 0C and 24P per scoop.
Is it ok for an amateur to use or overkill?
