To be honest I am not sure and I wonder if that hindered my strength-building. Like I said I do not eat the full maitenance level according the book's calculations for me (which is 2200/1900). I have a history with obesity and gain very easily - I tried eating that much for a little bit but I just did not feel right. I eat anywhere from 1500-1700 on non workout days and 1600-1900 on workout days, but always making sure I eat a ton of protein, always more than 30% of my total intake and much more grams than my body weight. I also do cardio on my non-lifting days. I guess it might sound like I am eating at a deficit, but I'm not losing, just maintaining my weight! I'm willing to consider, though, that maybe what I am eating is not enough so maybe I will try harder with that next time around.
