Default Calories Burned on NROLFW - Wow!

I started the NROLFW program on Monday, June 1 and since then I've lost a couple pounds even though I've been following the number of calories recommended in the book (2100 on workout days, 1800 on rest days). Since I need to lose another 50 pounds, I was interested in finding out how many calories I really burn through in a day. In the GoWear Fit thread on the Fat Troubleshoot Section of the board, I noticed that ppl said that Polar HRM's (I have the women's F11) are consistently 25-30% over the real rate as tested by other devices. So yesterday I kept the F11 running for 24 hours, starting at the beginning of my workout (Stage 1, 3rd Workout A) and was really surprized at the results: 3702 calories x 0.7 = 2591 calories! Zamn! No wonder I've been losing weight! Also, I've been doing easy-peasy cardio on my rest days (treadmill, 1.5 incline, 2.5 mph, 40 minutes).

My stats:
40 years old
5'5"
216 pounds

Not sure how this figures into the equation exactly, but I have epilepsy and have been taking the anti-seizure med Depakote for the last 20 years. According to some articles I've read and my neurologist, Depakote makes you gain weight - can be up to 60 pounds. I started this program because before I had to take a break from the gym due to some medical issues, I had really plateaued at 210 (down from 260). So, it will be interesting to see if I'm able to get below that previous plateau easily. I was lifting pretty heavy before on a 5-day split with about 20-30 minutes of walking on the treadmill after but still the 1st workout on NROLFW kicked my butt. Hopefully the fat will come off as the muscle grows.
