I agree with looking at Leigh's work, and I second Sinead with holding off on
New Rules of Lifting for Women until after you get your body straightened out. It does seem like a fabulous program but I personally decided to hold off on it for a while since I'd come off of a period of undereating but still have fat to lose. The book itself it recommends just a small deficit (300 cals) if at all; it's a taxing program and they want you to be fed properly for it. Which makes total sense; it just didn't align with my immediate goals.
