Default Kim's Weight Loss Journal

I'm not really sure how to start a journal, so I guess I'll start with a little about me. My name is Kim, and I'm a 21-year-old female who is a rising college senior. I am 5'5 and have been as low as 130 (a healthy weight I have no seen since I was 16) to a high weight of 185 that I saw yesterday on the scale.

I have been plagued with running injuries over the past year, bursitis in both hips, therefore I have not run very much. As a result, I have gained a lot of weight. Although not all of the weight that I have gained because I am a boredom eater.

I think that one of the biggest reasons for my stupid injuries is my weight. It is a lot to carry on my frame. When I have been able to run, my pace is two minutes slower than it was when I was 145 pounds, and I have never been even close to fast. In an ideal world, I would get my weight down into the 150s before I start running again, but I'm not sure I can wait that long.

I need to lose weight. Simple as that. I want to keep track of food and exercise in here because since I haven't been running much, they've both suffered. As far as food goes, I am not someone who craves fruits and veggies. I love sugar, especially chocolate. As of this point in time, I have no desire to eat clean. I would like to work on a balance/moderation type of thing.

The reason that I have decided to have a journal here is because of the amazing support that people get. So of course, support is always welcome.
