I don't disagree, although I would imagine few reasonable people would draw much of a comparison between any number of potentially hazardous recreational or occupational activities and experiencing a physiological effect that is brought on by purposefully restricting the oxygen to your brain. It's all a matter of risk/reward, I suppose. Since I don't get the value of the reward (and don't care to find out) the risk, which by necessity comes perilously close to actual death, seems to pretty much peg the meter on the "not worth it" scale.

Surfing, riding motorcycles, or getting out of bed every day all carry a measure of risk, no doubt about it.
