Could it be the case that you are lacking good fats in your diet right now? Do you keep 40g or more of nut, avocado, fish oil type of fats in you daily life? Sometimes when I get really strong cravings for something it is a good indicator that there is something in that food I a lacking?
The other possibility is sugar. Have you cut sugar out of your life everywhere else and still eat PB with sugars? If so this could be your sugar fix craving...
