I don't think that it is cheaper per se. I buy a bag of raw almonds at Trader Joe's for around $4.50 and make about 15 cups almond milk and try to use the almond meal for baking etc. Almond Breeze has 4 8fl oz. per carton and I think the cost is $1.99 at Trader Joe's. I like that my homemade version doesn't contain sodium and other additives and I can adjust it to my liking.
