Default Shoulders

I've been NROL for over a year, working the different programs in different orders. I've definately made good progress however i think if my diet was a little more in check i'd be seeing more results.

I had never lifted an ounce before Jan of 2008, so i'd still consider myself a beginner with challenges on the squat and deadlift.

However as I up my lifting weight, I still find that over head press, high pull and push press still wreak havoc on my shoulders after the work out. This is the one area that after a strength workout that just seem to linger on for days, even after a max on a squat or dead's my legs will bounce back quicker, however my shoulders seem to ache forever.

Is this lack of strength or am i missing something here. I normally do the prescribed reps, however at times when i think the weight is managable i still struggle to complete the sets.

Any insight would be great.

Thanks,
