low carb - If you're doing depletion, it could be, since you're losing glycogen, which holds onto water… but that's intramuscular and I donno if that matters.
caffeine - It is a diuretic if you're not regularly consuming it (it'd be more so if you were taking caffeine pills than the small amount that's in pop with all that water).
It could be a change in electrolyte balance, perhaps… like if you've not increased sodium but decreased potassium intake… You could try searching for Leigh Peele's post on some electrolyte drink and try making that…
I'm guessing it's not *just* a water intake problem… because you'd balance out after a bit, ya know? Not that I'm an expert…
