I guess some people would say I'm doing it wrong, but I use my arms for balance and keeping form. When I squat, I send my arms out in front of me and then pull them down by my sides as I stand up. When I lunge, I pump my arms sort of like power walking. When I squat-jump, I sort of treat my arms like I'm shooting a basketball - they go up when I jump.
